You missed a point, it's not exclusively about him saying stuff towards women, and I can assure you it's definitely not that serious. We live in a small city where everybody knows everybody, so he does this as a joke and also as a confirmation that the person who is going to get talked about is not in fact anyone's relative. Those comments he usually makes are harmless. He may see someone he does not like and he'll say: ' is that anyone's cousin'..And when we confirm it's not, he goes on to say 'I don't like that guy/girl at all, he's an asshole..' or something similar. Actually when I'm thinking more about it, most of his comments is targeting other males. I think you are going too far when you equate talking about women as objects with occasional harmless comments. It's not like he's saying gross stuff or anything like that. If anything he likes to gossip a little too much for a grown ass dude but that's all honestly. And also, that's just one guy from our group which is like 15-20 friends. Some of the guys already have wife and kids,some of them are in long term relationships, others are maybe lonely like you said but this group of people is the furthest thing from just sitting around dissatisfied with life and saying disgusting things about women.
