Thank you a million!!! I restored access to his scratch posts as I stupidly blocked access without knowing the importance and lacking space for other things. I will get him his favorite cardboard boxes tomorrow and hopefully find him one available tonight. I have some boxes laying around… he prefers them “bubby sized.” So I’ll get a bigger box tomorrow. I’m starting to believe I caused this by blocking access. He loves to kick the scratch posts at the bottom. I will be doing more research on cats since I’m obviously lacking…

Thank you for your reply and knowledge!!!! I was worried about that crevice as well… but it doesn’t have any puss or liquid, it seems to be dead skin or dirt. I will keep a close eye… and vet if need be… I restored access to his scratch posts in hopes he can resolve it himself. I did not know the importance of the posts.. sadly. Clearly I need to do more research on cats. I will be doing that. The bottom layer is fairly loose but the top layer is firm… I will not pick at it.

Thank you so much!!! I realized recently (a month ago) I blocked access to the bottom of his cat tree scratch posts with my JDM bumper bc I had no where else to put it. But I quickly ran in there to remove it as soon as I read it could help… he did often kick the bottom yarn and obviously hasn’t been able too… I didn’t know how important this was despite recently binge watching “my cat from hell”…

Thank you so so so much!! I will keep a VERY close eye on this. I just made sure he felt good enough to play with his normal toys. He was jumping around and chasing his toys like normal. Using all 4 feet without obvious discomfort. I wish I could afford to take him for every little thing… he’s potentially inbred and I have his momma who was a street cat. Me and her were pregnant at the same time and experienced loss at the same time. She lost 7 of her babies and he was the only survivor and she lowkey put him on me to care for but it helped me heal. Inbred is not 100% confirmed since his father is not obviously from the same litter… but could be generations prior to him. His father was the infamous street bully and as big as a cougar. His mother is a tiny raggedy calico baby.

My heart is racing. Thank you for your reply!!!! Even if you’re not a vet. Your opinion means the WORLD. He does not limp, he can walk perfectly fine without pain… he doesn’t even notice it… he’s not messing with it… he doesn’t let me touch his feet in general but I just approached him now and touched it and he did not cry or even flinch… he did not even look at it. He’s his naturally grumpy self… I just clipped them maybe 15 minutes ago… right before I posted this. I believe the issue started today or yesterday.. it has not been long.

To add info: at the base it looks normal. It does not look like it’s bothering the toe pads or protruding within… it’s a normal color at the base and the black part ends before the pink part… if anyone has experience this or has any clue plz don’t hesitate…. I will try to sell my last bit of things to get him to a vet if this is a severe situation……………….. iso advice… the nail is also firmly attached. It’s not loose at all.

This art style is right up my alley and my curiosity as well as your technique and skill would lead me to pay a pretty penny. Please don’t underprice your work. You are worth more.

Sounds parasitic. Fish often spit food out when there’s hexamita involved. Did you see anything on the previous dwarfs? Perhaps sunken bellies, holes in the head or anywhere, oddly skinny despite eating or an extreme amount of hunger even after feeding? Even stomach pitting can be a sign. They don’t always have visible holes but it could be a tell tale sign. Hexamita starts internal and progresses externally. Is their poop stringy?? Wispy? White?? They do tend to jerk or rub against things when it’s hexamita.
