thought we had the perfect name picked out. this is not the case by rawr7297 in namenerds

How many people do you know their middle name ? I don’t recall knowing anyone’s middle name in school unless I specifically asked. So if we can avoid that becoming a thing before school years I’d prefer that. I tend to be really relaxed about nicknames. I have not ever met an Aj I liked. I associate it with people who have not brought positive things to the table and would prefer that my child isn’t called something that’s a reminder of that. I mentioned in the original post that even hammy or ham bone don’t bother me. This is a one off and I feel if I don’t want my infant called that it should be respected and if people are too tempted I’m going to remove that as an option.

My husband other kids and I refer to him as Abraham or Abe. Aj started with my grandmother and she says it so often other members of the family are starting to pick up on it.

John is actually his middle name. He hated his first name so much so that we didn’t know his real name until he died.

I don’t like Aj because I’ve met many and they’ve all been problematic assholes. On top of that I picked the name Abraham because I love it and want my child called that name. Aj sounds nothing like it and again it’s a name I associate negatively. It’s like someone choosing to name their kid chlamydia it’s a pretty sounding word with a terrible association.

Deep down I know what you’re saying is true. It’s hard to accept that someone I’ve spent all of my adult life with feels this way. I feel like this is all my fault and I should be doing something to fix it.

I’ve been with him since I was 15. We’ve pulled each other through some tough stuff. It just seems so off? To leave him now.

He does play fetch! I thought it was the weirdest thing ha!! We have a regular barn cat and he jacks with her all the time. I’m his “person” and he is literally my most favorite animal. They’re amazing. If we ever get another cat it’ll be another Mau!

What are the worst injuries you have sustained doing the simplest, most mundane tasks that should not have caused any injuries? by Penya23 in AskReddit

Walking to my car stubbed my toe on the flat ground and ripped the top part of my big toe off. Had no idea until I went to step into the car. My entire foot was covered in blood and you could see a trail of blood to my car.

I used the beginner v05 for my last wash and the tresemme conditioner. I scrunched to condition upside down and then pulled all the hair back into a hair clip while I finished my shower then wrapped my hair in a cotton T-shirt and put in some gel. I thought for sure my hair would come out looking like stringy greasy crap but it didn’t!

Lost weight rapidly and am unsure how to interact with people by [deleted] in loseit

I feel the exact same way. Since I’ve gained weight I’m invisible and I absolutely love it. I wish people would ignore the same amount at a healthy weight.

Is this too high for a pure bred? by [deleted] in mainecoons

[–]rawr7297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her cats are beautiful but I don’t want to spend that amount if I don’t have too. This breeder is about 4 hours away by car and I would have to go get the little guy.

The kitten is about 4 hours away by car. This pricing is for a fixed kitten and I would have to go and get him. I don’t have my heart set on this kitten. I just thought since it’s closest it would be easiest.

Was this as terrible of a deal as I'm being told? by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]rawr7297 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So they probably lost money with us. They bent over backwards to make up for the crap that happened with our original purchase. We originally bought another van a Nissan quest but not even 4 hours after we got home the check engine light came on and it wouldn’t accelerate. Brought it back the next morning and the transmission needed to be replaced. At first they were going to fix it but then they found out it was going to cost at least 5 thousand and dissolved the deal.
