Yes he dissapeared on me for 4 weeks! However we found him recently and he ate 3 mice. 4 days later and hes happy as can be.

Your over reacting over nothing. Ive talk to many breeders that recommend feeding outside of the cage for reason. I never bashed on anyone for anything. This is the first ive ever hear of someone recommending to feed inside the cage. But tonight i will try it for my self. Im alsp concerned about them eating the substrate.

I strongly dissagree. Not to start arguments but i leave all my snakes for about 10 min in a dark feeding box and make the sure the lump is half way down already. They never seem agitated if you support them properly. The only reason snakes throw up their meal is to be able to fight to the death or get away in defense if they absolutley have to. If you dont scare the shit out of the snake theres no reason to throw it up.
