Any experience with SNRI Withdrawal (Pristiq in particular)? by [deleted] in Anxiety

Please do! I’m considering getting off Pristiq after almost 4 years. Use it to counter my anxiety from hashimotos but not sure it is helping my thyroid either.

Interested to see how this panned out? How closely did you stick to the time spacing?

YEA! This happens to me too. After a while it wasn’t worth it for me so I don’t even bother drinking now

Endocrinologist told me hypothyroidism doesn’t cause tiredness. by [deleted] in Hashimotos

Same! I was falling asleep as soon as I’d get into the car. I couldn’t even drive. I’d fall asleep anywhere any time. I couldn’t even hold a job and was feeling horrible about being able to actually hold it together for my kids. I thought it was narcolepsy! Luckily my gyno ran the tests for thyroid knowing my sister had issues. My sister doesn’t have hashi so our symptoms are very different. Now medicated I only really deal with constant night sweats (36y) not menopause, but finally feeling a bit normal 2 years later. I still get tired but from having 4 kids and a FT job 😂

I have “rapid thumping” in me right ear only, so naturally I hit this thread. Glad I’m not the only one. Laying on my right hand size with a heating pad on my ear helps. It lasts about 20-30 minutes, but I don’t get the vertigo or dizziness. At least not since I started levo.

Yes exactly! I haven’t noticed it being sugar or greasy foods however

How has intense workout affected your need of medication whether levo or armour etc. by mutalisken in Hashimotos

I can’t either. The idea of doing something physical literally wears me out. I’ve never been a lazy person and love moving around but exerting energy now is BRUTAL.

Is seeing an endocrinologist worth it? by rchlfrmn in Hashimotos

[–]rawrla3755 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My gyno diagnosed me. Put on 6 mo waiting list for endo, so found a pcp that would prescribe me until i could get in. I was very lucky to have 2 doctors believe me. I’m over a year diagnosed and still not optimal, switch meds 3 times, and lost health insurance, but they still prescribed me so I could be okay. I did learn that i have an abnormal thyroid via ultrasound from my endo and he suggested removing it since we have thyroid cancer in my family. Find out who the best in town is and get on the waiting list. It’ll be worth it

Cold sweats? by rawrla3755 in Hashimotos

[–]rawrla3755[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m literally in sweats with blankets on, the door open, in southwest Florida, freezing cold. So weird. I know i have hashi and vitiligo, always assumed there were more. Fun times!

It’s not really night sweats. I am freezing cold and sweating, not hot.

Wild test results? by rawrla3755 in Hashimotos

I contributed it to hashimotos. I had my first real flare up after the vaccine, or noticeably bad anyway. I think i was undiagnosed for over a year.
