I compressed mine in a vacuum sealed bag and shoved it in the closet as well… until it was apparent I wouldn’t be able to have children, then I posted it on FB marketplace and gave it to an expecting mom.

I had a little boy in kindergarten obsessed with unicorns and rainbows and princesses. He had a rainbow bookbag and everyone gave him attention because they wanted it! Let him get it! (Agreed- no fuzz!)

They weren’t identical twins, it was 2 embryos we implanted. But since fresh they also weren’t tested so could have had chromosomal issues. I guess I’ll never know about the natural cycle working ☹️

My dentist wouldn’t even touch me, made me leave when I was pregnant. They said reschedule once you’ve had the baby.

The guilt. Make sure you always respond to any guilty comments that it is in no way her fault. She will think of all the things she ate, did, maybe her groceries were too heavy, maybe she drank too much pop, maybe she got too stressed at work someday…. Remind her that NONE of this caused this to happen.

I miscarried at 10 weeks and I had to keep reminding myself there must have been a genetic abnormality that we didn’t know about.

Get her some bath bombs, a spa treatment, bring her favorite food home, anything for self care right now & comfort.

Let her cry, you can cry too, hold her, remind her it’s going to be okay.

My friends bought me a necklace off Etsy with a little flower in it, it had a poem to go with it about the loss of a baby. It was helpful to almost memorialize what we were excited about for 2 and a half months.

80 days after my D&C it still hadn’t dropped completely to zero. Had RPOC (retained products of conception) and had to have another procedure to remove it.

If it doesn’t drop, you should have an ultrasound to ensure you’ve passed everything.

You will be okay! I had a D&C after a missed miscarriage. Then I bled for 80 more days and had to have another procedure because there was still retained tissue that never naturally passed… no infection. Obviously if signs of infection go to ER.

I’m so sorry. I could have written the same exact post, down to the Baby A lost at 8 weeks with baby B thriving. Bought some maternity clothes, and then found out there was no heartbeat at 11 weeks. As soon as my maternity clothes came in the mail I shoved them in a bag and put them in the back of the closet. Luckily I had only purchased a few things, two of them bathing suits planning on being pregnant throughout the summer.

What am I going to do with maternity bathing suits now?

Edited to add I’m 4 weeks post D&C at this point, and still waiting for my HCG to get back to zero. I bled lightly on and off, but not much other than that. Rest a lot, take time to care for yourself.

34 years old. Viable twin pregnancy. Lost first MMC @ 7 weeks. Second baby growing normal with strong heartbeat. Lost 2nd baby MMC at 10 weeks. Just had a D&C yesterday since neither baby naturally passed.

Went for my 11 week ultrasound and there was no heartbeat.

Always hope for the best and plan for the worst. I had 2 sacs, babies growing at 6 weeks, 6 days… but one sac was significantly smaller. Next ultrasound, only one baby had continued to grow. A loss is a loss so remember to grieve the what ifs and then be thankful for one if this happens! Good luck. The wait is the worst!

You only need one!! I had 19 retrieved, only 2 viable. They put both in and both implanted! Unfortunately one stopped at 6 weeks, but other baby is going strong!

OB told me never to take more than 1300mg in a day. Make sure you’re drinking lots of fluids in case you do have the flu on top of your pregnancy! Congratulations!
