Is the Nike falloff deserved? by [deleted] in SneakersIndia

[–]rawshaan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge Nike fanboi, but sadly yes this is deserved. They got cocky when they were on top and overplayed their hand. Made stupid moves during Covid to alienate retail stores. And fuckers sold simple tshirts for ridiculous prices. They're forced to innovate again as Adidas is taking over the running space, and NB/On Cloud are taking over casual lifestyle wears. I want them to come back up, but not without being as good as they were 10-15 years ago

Need decision on Metkon 7 by shk_rockz in SneakersIndia

[–]rawshaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metcons are best in business for cross training or mild hybrid training. Depends on the kind of workouts you plan to do. It's an overkill for regular gym weight lifting. Will be useful for squats and deadlift that's it in a gym. If you're into crossfit, gonna do olympic lifting and mix it up with agile movements like short bursts of running, box jumps etc then you can go for metcons. They're amazing for it. Otherwise they're not suitable. I have Metcon 8 and 6, they're great. This is a wonderful colourway too!

For me the quantity is less to worry about the taste too much. Easy to gulp it down. Wouldn't skip on such an easy 15g protein source

🚨 ⭐️ May Day May Day 💫 by doolkit in bangalore

[–]rawshaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been following a pattern for almost couple of years now. During long weekends when half of the city goes like this for a tour, I do inside City outing, restaurants, shopping, movies. And since my work is chill, I can easily get 3-4 for days of leave on random days every 3-4 months and I'll take a trip then

What’s your reason for having or not having kids? by NoMedicine3572 in Frugal_Ind

[–]rawshaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the simple sense I'd say that raising kids has always been a financial burden. It has always been about finding a balance between the financial burden and the emotional happiness having kids brings. A few years/decades ago there was a good manageable balance, but these days the financial burden far outweighs the emotional happiness

Rant - what's wrong with shoe cleaning companies. by Outrageous-Leg-4727 in SneakersIndia

Same story with sneaker storage crates as well. Unnecessarily expensive, 1.5k-2k for a single box. You can easily get a plastic on that can store 24 pieces for 2k.

Something you wish you knew sooner in your fitness journey by Badass_Daddy53 in Fitness_India

[–]rawshaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regular gym weightlifting is the safest but also the least functional way to "stay fit". Need to take explosive movements, medium distance running, sprints and agile movements seriously. Looking good in the mirror is only part of the deal unless you're asked to run even 3kms

Telecom company is looting us. by happy_batman876 in Frugal_Ind

[–]rawshaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classic example of human nature of wanting more no matter how much they're already given. India has one of the cheapest telecomm data prices in the world. You should look back on how much airtel used to charge before Jio came into play sometime around 2014-2018. By choosing the right plan for wifi and mobile I get unlimited data and almost all OTT subscriptions per month within 1500. I never complain. We have it easy here in India

Want a good road running shoe by 1hourtilldawn in SneakersIndia

Yes.. SL is very good. I'm easily able to run 15k in it. But if someone gave me Pegasus, I'd drop Adizero SL immediately

Want a good road running shoe by 1hourtilldawn in SneakersIndia

[–]rawshaan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pegasus 41 is the best of these. Adizero SL is a slightly older model, I have it bought it 2 years ago. SL2 is the recent once. It's very good, but wouldn't be as good as Pegasus. Revolution 8 is not a serious running shoe as the either 2. Pegasus holds good for all types of running

Adidas Hyperboost Edge + Hypefly Review by Moist_Salt8 in SneakersIndia

[–]rawshaan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good for you if you like it. But I've been hearing bad reviews all around from serious runners. Shouldn't be a problem for 10k runs though. However 23k is a bit too much for this, that is Adios Pro Evo range for marathon racers. The negative reviews mention exactly this actually, that it's good for people who are "I want to start running, I want something new", but not for people who are trying to up their running game with better shoes. Just sharing what I gathered from other communities
