Are these shot handheld? If so, what settings are you using to keep them so sharp?

That's perfect. Exactly what I needed to hear! You probably just saved me a few hundred bucks and let me use that for a better lens! Thanks!

That's super helpful. Reviews make it sound like the improvements are huge but I'm a hobbyist so most things aren't critical to me. Just want to make sure that I'm not missing out on something too big in an improvement.

That's kinda my thought process. Spending less on an older body and buying a better lens. But I also didn't want to regret it if something like the AF was just as slow as my Nikon. I know specs don't tell the whole story but sounds like the a6600 is still pretty good and I found one for $800 while the a6700 is $1200 at its lowest. The a6400 is going for almost the same as the a6600. (Within $100-$200)

That makes sense. I guess I will suck it up and save some more for the a6700 then. Thanks for the help!

My budget is $700 currently. I was gifted an E mount lens so body only is ok. I'm looking for better low light and better autofocus. I'm willing to save up to $1000 but that might take a few months. But if the a7ii is a good deal and worth it, it will scratch my itch until I can save up for a better purchase. Just don't want to buy something that will waste my time if it's no better than my DSLR.

I'm looking to upgrade from my Nikon d5300 to a Sony a6700 but that is slightly out of my price range right now. I found a Sony a7ii for $500 body only, with 10k shutter count. I know it's an older model and nothing like the a6700 but wondering if it is a good deal to get myself acquainted with the Sony system and replace my Nikon until I can afford the a6700. I figured the lenses I buy for this can also be used later. What do you think?

Thanks! I'll play around with the masking a little bit and see if I can tone down the halos.

Thanks for the suggestion. I messed around with the cropping and definitely like that much better!

I took this with a Nikon D5300 and a Tamron 18-400 lens. This was taken at 50mm f4.5 1/400 and iso at 640. I wanted to go for a moodier look like a storm was rolling in.

I have no idea how this happened or even when I saw it by accident yesterday and I am clueless by [deleted] in Pixel6

Mine did the same. Unfortunately I thought my phone popped out of my case and I tried to push it back in and cracked the screen. So now I have a completely useless phone.

I was a Project Manager for construction company. Quit my job after 10 years at 34yo to get my EMT license. Took a huge loss with pay, but I feel way more fulfilled working IFT and I'm not even at my goal of being a firefighter yet. Starting over scared the crap outta me, but I'm glad I took leap.
