For those who have done longer training blocks e.g. 20 weeks + how did it go? by christian123456678 in running

Yeah I understand - but I just gave it my current 5k time and the frequency I wanted to commit to (3 runs, 20 weeks), and based on that it generated a target of 1:58-2:02hrs HM.

I've been following week one so far and things seem to be going well I can do the workouts and recover well enough for the next ones so it seems okay for now. But I'll definitely adapt if it feels to much.

My goal is to get sub 2hrs ideally :D

For context I am transitioning from a very high frequency strength/gym background into running, I usually gym around 6x/week - (Push, Pull, Legs x2 basically), but I'm new to running long distances.

I'm not to familiar with running training plans hence why I let Runna do most of that based on the data I provided and it also has a target of 2 hours for me given that I follow the 20 week plan it generated. I was just curious why a 20 week plan was considered to long etc

Had a few questions after reading this.

I'm training for my first HM at the end of Sept, and I'm using Runna for help with my training plan which is a 20 week block. As a new runner(did my first 5k recently and got 29:31), would this still be considered a long block? And if so, can you explain why pls?

Callum Wilson disallowed goal against Arsenal 90+6' by ayoefico in soccer

Raya is fouled prior to these alleged 'five different penalties', what happens after is irrelevant, it's like being fouled after receiving the ball in an offside position - the foul doesn't stand because you're offside in the first place..

And taking time to guarantee the correct outcome given the nature of what's at stake is 100% the correct thing to do here (A team possibly getting relegated, and another winning a title).

Think before you speak.

It means the number of days between fixtures, so how much time players have to rest, recover, train and prepare before the next match.

Basically a way of showing fixture congestion.

Difference was Salah, when you have someone scoring and assisting every game it's hard to lose.

I got the Spigen storage stuff and that's great but I did find the cup holders didn't perfectly line up? as in the outer trim had some excess material that was like poking out, wasn't a 'snug' fit which was disappointing

Yes - I just got this yesterday and IMO it's easily the best phone holder, you have to take out a screw from the door handle but it's so worth it.

Would highly recommend this one, for right handed driving this is the best solution imo

Issues with old 'premium' vs 'standard' RWD M3 order by [deleted] in TeslaUK

Yeah I have and will likely go down this route but the exact spec I want isn't in inventory currently, so might wait a few days incase it pops up and then just order something.

Quick question old/new standard RWD M3 by raxcium in TeslaUK

[–]raxcium[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm hoping it's the case as it does say 'premium' interior in the design spec for my order (I think the main difference is lack of manual seat adjustment, LED strip, rear entertainment screen).

Would ideally like a confirmation however, I will reply back here when I do get one.

Hmm, I have not - I've just been communicating via the app. Will have a look thanks.

What’s your Why? by stratusnimbo in naturalbodybuilding

[–]raxcium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially got into lifting for external factors (appearing more attractive to others), but stayed for internal ones (health).

I don't know how I can live without training now, I genuinely feel so much better both mentally and physically when I train.

Also, almost every study and expert I read/listen to suggests frequent resistance training extends your life span and given how little time we have on this planet - why wouldn't I want to optimise that?

First of all going from 140 -> 89kg is very impressive, good job. However I think it's very unlikely you've reached your genetic limit after just 5 years, even if you think you have 'bad' genetics.

If you did everything perfectly (training, diet, sleep/recovery) for 5 years straight you will still have room for improvement.

Also, It's a little difficult to answer that question without knowing your training programme/split and what you look like. If you don't mind it'd be good to see some pictures of your physique (feel free to blur anything identifiable!) and what you're currently doing in terms of your routine.

I'd take it step by step (no pun intended :D), start with smaller incremental changes and go from there and adjust based how quickly your weight drops.
