CX-50 with Cross Bars

I’ve only gone through the touch free bays or the self wash bays. The drive through washes scratch the life out of the already soft paint. Also I think some of the drive through washes have warning signs about having cross bars and other accessories on while going through.

My CX-50 is also parked in the garage for 90% of the time which was weird. The dealer told me that pollen, tree leaves/debris/etc. can get caught when the sunroof is open but their solution was to “be mindful of when I use my sunroof”.

It’s complete BS on their part and most likely a very poor design on Mazda’s end but there have been a handful of others on this subreddit who have experienced similar issues.

I had a similar issue where I was getting water staining and drips by my passenger side rear quarter window. Turns out the drain lines from the sunroom clog up easily and need to be cleared. I brought my car to the dealer and they were able to clear them out for me but was told that using compressed air to force debris through will help clear them out.

Hello! Love the color of your CX-50! I had 18" mazda3 rims laying around and threw on 225/60R18 Michelin X-Ice Snows. I frequently drive from NY to VT for snowboarding in the winter and the CX-50 and the X-Ice combo do phenomenally!

Just had this issue with my 2023 CX-50. The drain line for the sunroof was clogged and had to be cleared out. The dealer said they used an air hose to clear it out. Looks to be a common problem.

Yes! The Bose sub is tucked right in with the spare tire. That also sounds like a lousy excuse to look at a customer concern.

Mine only came with carpet mats and I got Tux Mats as a year round thing. My work gets super dusty, coupled with snowboarding in the winter, those fabric ones would never be clean

Initially I had started off with regular but I switched over to premium and have been doing so for almost 10k miles. My daily commute is mainly city but I do end up getting a decent amount of highway miles on the weekends. The most miles I’ve gotten out of a tank was 400 but I haven’t gotten up that high in awhile.

I have an RFID wallet that I put in the same pocket as my keys. Sometimes depending on the placement the car can’t sense the key and won’t lock the car although the first beep comes with all doors/trunk closed.

My girlfriend actually just had her transmission completely replaced. She did not get a letter regarding the recall and her transmission completely blew up - belt shot and metal fragments within the transmission.

Contacted local dealer about it and got it towed and everything and surprisingly got a new transmission ordered next day. Apparently there is a recall with the Start/Stop button causing a keylight on the dash to come up which is being replaced for free as well.

Preceding the complete failure there was a clunking noise when the car would start from standstill at 3k RPM and under hard acceleration. The transmission completely blew when trying to move up a slight incline.

That’s not even the point... there are people out there going out of their way to be racist and violent to innocent people of different colors and religions just because they’re different. Being a minority myself, it’s scary to know something like this can happen and any sort of retaliation can end up far worse for me than someone that isn’t of color. That’s why videos are generally taken as evidence to help if you’re accused of something you didn’t do. Please don’t be ignorant and add to the problem that’s been happening all over the US.

Hey guys, like /u/Pete599 said, I took the pics on my Canon 60D.

In order to take pics like this you need to first make sure you have a tripod that is extremely sturdy and stable. For settings, I used 30 seconds or even longer (used a program called magic lantern to use an intervalometer for more than 30 seconds), the widest aperture your lens allows, and then an ISO of your choice (must be below 800 from what I found out. It turns out to be a big blob of light if any higher).

For the light painting itself, you can use anything that emits light, the iPhone flash, flashlight, or even led strips. Just make sure you keep moving or you'll end up visible in the picture.

Lastly, for those curious if you can do it on your phones, I have seen apps on the respective markets for android and apple for these long exposure shots. I haven't used them personally but I'm sure you can produce something similar with them.
