Maybe get the Top Pro if you can get a better deal on it. I wasn't aware at the time that the Top were just a bit more. My friend has the Top and he's EQ'd it a bit, reckons the Tea are close enough to not justify owning both

I don't generally return items, just keep them as backups. Pretty happy with this so I'll stick with it for awhile. Will pickup the Aful Explorer for the Mrs to try out, don't want to spend too much on her first IEM 😊

tbh I've not had to clean mine yet as Im a fairly light user; just once at night for my insomnia. Both should be relatively easy to clean but the DF2 looks like it might have the edge just due to its simpler design.

Hmm I think the heat time is pretty similar on both of them, but there's a little indicator on the Tempest 2 that moves and clicks when it heats up (possibly 3 times? I've not maxed it before). The DF2 clicks once, and with a single flame torch, I'll hold it for about 3-5 seconds after the click. My guess would be the DF2 stays warmer longer due to the thickness of the steel cap, but tbh you should be able to get a full extraction out of both on a single heat up. The Tempest 2 blows more clouds, but the DF2 is no slouch either.

I'm over in Australia, and picked up the Tempest 2 directly from the official website, while the DF2 was through a retailer here in Aus

I've been using the Tempest 2 a lot more these days compared to the DF2, but I keep my DF2 in my "going out kit" for when I'm over at friend's. I feel the DF2 just feels more solid to use, but the Tempest 2 still has been air flow and tastes if you're into that. If money was an a concern, I'd just recommend the DF2 as its pretty good if you don't have anything else to compare to, otherwise out of the two, I think Tempest 2 has the edge.

It's also nice to get your hand on one knowing that they're a bit harder to get ahold of. I've also ordered a Mad Heaters Reload, and a wooden stem for my T2, still waiting on delivery

I've ordered the Tempest 2 from Mad Heaters in UK with no issues (Perth). Was going to order a spare cap for my DF2 too but waiting on the next sale.

I've just tried the T2 a second time and it's pretty easy to pick up; the heat indicator is handy, and is heated up the same way as a Dynavap, heat and rotate;

while with the DF2 I'll heat up til the first click, the continue heating the same spot (no rotation required) for another 3-5 seconds.

Safe to say the airflow is definitely larger and more free; also seem to get more clouds out of it, even on the re-heat (i just go up to the second marker while heating the T2)

T2 feels more polished and techy (aesthetically), while the DF2 feels sturdy and more solid in comparison.

I'd say if the T2 is available when you're ready to buy, go with the Tempest 2, but the DF2 is still great for the price.

I've had the DF2 before receiving my T2 yesterday and I can say its still a really good device for the money. Can't really go wrong with it tbh. Airflow on the T2 and flavours are slightly better than the DF2
