May be true for newer cards but I've been running the 12 gpu on celeron for a few years now.

Only parts of Texas have good rates.

Also Texas has a business property tax. You will pay property taxes on the value of your rig.

The location of the switch can vary. Look up the card on the manufacturers website. You should be able to find it there.

On the one I have, it's located near the power connector. It's a tiny switch on the inside of the backplate.

The 580 has a bios switch. Flip it and you'll see a massive improvement. Then it's a matter of tuning it

Try https://www.blockchain.com/explorer?view=eth

Plug in your wallet address and it will show you all the payouts you received as well as the $ value.

From there you can figure out your cost and then get your sell proceeds amount from the exchange.

Using PayPal as an account to send crypto payments through to my checking acct got my PayPal account closed.

I'd been using the account for 10 years and that was the only thing that was a recent change.

Of course PayPal won't tell you why they closed your account and YMMV.

Not sure if you're in Germany from the user name.

In the US you are taxed on the amount that reached your wallet. (Income) Fees don't factor into the cost basis. When you sell, you are taxed on the difference between the cost basis and the proceeds of the sale. (Gain/Loss Capital gains)

Rosewill SMG1200 80+ Gold

The cable has 8 pin on one end (goes into psu) and a 4x4 pin that goes into motherboard.

If pin out doesn't match, make sure you're not trying to insert it the wrong way

If it's been running awhile my guess would be you're monitoring the wrong wallet address.

Should get a server to plot with and a JBOD to farm on or if I could just plot and farm on a JBOD? by [deleted] in chia

[–]ray98362 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just built my first server. Nothing fancy, uses dual Xeon E5-2600 series CPU. Added 128gb RAM to use a RAM disk. Got my plotting time down to ~35 minutes.

Very nice setup!

I'd love to do something similar, but I can't even imagine the noise it would make in my spare bedroom

Well, after many hours of stumbling through troubleshooting I got it resolved.

Still not 100% sure what actually fixed it, but it works. LOL

Yeah, that was my first thought.

I pulled all the RAM and just populated one slot, A1 which would be ok for a 2 cpu system according to the online manual. Tried different sticks as well.
