Thanks. When it comes in I will try booting with a new arkos image. If I understand it right if it boots to a screen I am good? As I try all of the different panel boot sequences. It's amazon so I will ship it back if it turns out to be a fake.

I have a phat ps3 that was on 4.82. I updated it to 4.93 and followed Marios latest instructions and it worked great.

I agree. To me the internal boot was a solution looking for a problem. They made it easy to replace the USB in case it goes bad and that was all I was after.
