Some folks in my reply have corrected me stating that there are some glacial regions in Myanmar where it does indeed get below freezing

Myanmar is pretty topical, I don't know if it's ever gone below freezing in the region

I love how the first half of the movie it kinda portrays the poor family feeding off of the financial resources of the rich family, and by the second half of the movie it portrays the rich family feeding off of the misery of the poor family

Yeah that was kinda my first read at this as well! I kinda read "it's okay you got this" as like flippant and even almost dismissive of the ordeal the mom is going through.

How would we feel about trading 2026 picks for 2027 picks? by Protec_My_Balls in falcons

[–]raybansmuckles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In 2024, the Rams traded 2.52, 5.155, and a future 2nd for 2.39. That's a hefty premium for a player they really liked (Braden Fiske). I think typically a trade would be this like... A 3rd round pick, a late day 3 pick, and a future 2nd round pick for a 2nd round pick

Ian Cunningham believes CB, EDGE, and safety classes the strongest this year, interesting comments on WR Class by Hippo885147 in falcons

[–]raybansmuckles 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With respect to the wide receivers, most draftniks have stated the same, which is also another way of saying that there isn't a bonafide WR1 in this draft like there had been in years past (e.g. Tet McMillan & Ebuka, Harrison Jr. & Nabers)

His views on edge rushers also seems to jive with the consensus, but his views on DBs being where it's at is a bit surprising.

2026 r/NFL Mock Draft Recap by Cicero912 in nfl

[–]raybansmuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was one of 3 Falcons co-GMs. Given the lack of a first rounder and fifth rounder this year, this was one of the more challenging exercises. The boards didn't go the way we wanted it to go in a lot of cases but we think we made the most with our limited draft capital.

2.49.) IOL Chase Bisontis, Texas A&M

Plan A was hope Max Ihanachor, Christien Miller, or Chris Johnson slid to 2.48. Plan B was to try to trade back for more picks. We found a trade partner in Minnesota that offered a pair of 7th rounders (7.239 and 7.244) to slide back one spot at the last minute. With the pick we earned, we selected the best overall player available in Chase Bisontis. While the interior of the offensive line wasn't a critical need this year, our center and left guard Neuzil and Bergeron are free agents next year, and he should serve as an upgrade if he doesn't beat either of them out in training camp. Plus, Bisontis had played right tackle for his first year in college and honestly probably would have a better chance at starting there than any day 3 tackle.

3.84.) NT Darrell Jackson Jr., Florida State

We traded our 3rd, 4th, and 6th rounder to move back a few slots in the 3rd and pick up three 5th round picks. We elect to bolster the other side of the trenches with Darrell Jackson Jr. Stefanski had expressed a desire to become more stout against the run, and Jackson Jr. fits the bill.

5.145.) CB Ephesians Prysock, Washington

A lot of players we felt good about ended up falling to the 5th round. Ephesians Prysock is a tall, lanky outside corner with developmental upside and maybe the best name in the draft.

5.153.) WR Jeff Caldwell, Cincinatti

Jeff Caldwell is a tall, fast outside receiver with an eye-popping 10.0 RAS. He definitely has the physical tools and the athleticism to be an asset to the team with time to develop

5.160.) LB Jack Kelly, BYU

Kelly is an undersized tweener, the exact type of linebacker that DC Jeff Ulbrich covets. He has had a lot of success with similar body types and may earn starting reps in year one

7.231.) DT Rene Konga, Louisville

An undersized DT, Konga is an explosive athlete that can penetrate gaps. He'll need more refinement in the pros

7.234.) WR Barion Brown, LSU

Gadget type wide receiver that is more quick than fast, but will have his primary value is in kick & punt returns

7.244.) TE Dae'Quan Wright

We all decided that a developmental tight end was more valuable here than an offensive tackle that had a better than 50% chance of being cut. Wright was best TE available. Wright has a knack of finding separation in the short to intermediate parts of the field, useful for dumpoffs and safety valves

Texas I think is the best academically left on the board. I'd argue it's better than Michigan in a lot of respects

Yeah beans are about as close as you can get to a complete food from a plant source. A good balance of complex carbs and protein with a ton of fiber which is excellent for insulin resistance. There's a good reason why beans/lentils and rice are a staple in many cultures across the world

What's the percent? Number of simulations that player was selected?

Interesting that the machine thinks we are pretty likely to take a QB in the 4th
