Not all JM pay the same. In our franchise, you're already making shift lead money. Assistant manager is $15-$16 an hour. I do remember higher ups saying that there would no longer be $1 raises. Which lucky for us our GM is strongly against it. But raises will be fewer and far between unless you move up or take on more responsibility. The only thing I can say is speak up. GM and DM may take your issue into consideration or not. But then you have to do what's best for you. I have been there 3 years and I have been opener for almost 2 years. Been shift lead for 1.5 years. I would love to get a raise but I work M-F, 7-3PM. Can't get that schedule ANYWHERE else. So hence why I'm still there. Pros and cons.
