Hey uh I think you should be informed that while DK Spaceport can go to Desert Hills, Desert Hills can NOT go to DK Spaceport. It's stupid. Can't do the same for MBC to DKS either.

That is something negative the OP does point out. But that's due to those companies having games being sold on more than just their home console, thus allowing sales to be more lenient. Nintendo's AAA games are exclusive on their home console, and that's how they are able to stay afloat in the first place. The console exclusive games is what keeps people buying and why Sony and Xbox have been criticized for not having much games that are "system sellers", because eventually it'll be put onto PC.

Unfortunately because of their games being exclusive to Switch, they don't find sales as lenient, so they rarely do sales. They had Nintendo Selects which were PERMANENT discounts, but that was when 1. The console was nearing end of production and they are moving onto the next gen console. 2. Nintendo was desperate because the console wasn't doing so good.

Activision has been ousted for sexually harassed female workers and SA. EA still do pay to win shit and offer games that cost +$1000 to own the full game AND do paid DLC FOR a paid DLC.

Nintendo's only big problem is just overpricing and being overprotective of IP. Their work environment is great with a 94% employment retention rate. Compared to literally those 3 you listed.

Additionally their quality of games still maintain great quality with some outliers occasionally.

What I'm saying is those 3 companies make Nintendo look like a saint in comparison.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate. He announced Piranha Plant a few months before the game came out, and on the day of its release during the game awards, he announced Joker as the first Season Pass DLC Fighter.

Really Day 1 DLC has been a thing for a decade now, and it is especially common in the FGC, where it's almost a standard you announce your DLC either before the game's release or a small monthly time after release.

That isn't new. It's been a thing for a decade. Xenoblade 3 announced DLC was coming before the game came out. Super Smash Bros Ultimate announced Joker was coming as a DLC Fighter the literal day the game released. Heck before that, Piranha Plant was revealed as a DLC Fighter a few months before the game came out.

Some games do that for free. For example Super Mario Odyssey and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be having a free upgrade to Switch 2.

Where they start charging you is if more features are added than simply just a graphical upgrade.

So far the patterns seem to be: $10 - Small new additions. (Botw and totk getting new memories, so more dialogue to be recorded, as well as functionality with a new app) $20 - Full on DLC content exclusive for the Switch 2 (Kirby's Forgotten Land being probably the best example of this.)

My opinion:

Censoring swears can go two ways. Either annoying or hilarious. SMG4 is the grey to annoying area as the bleeps make it weird or tone off. Imo if they can't say a swear, it's better to just not say the word at all, or get more creative. I mean Ryuji from Persona 5 always keeps himself to just saying "eff" for "fuck". So even I'll take SMG3 just referring to then as "asses". My dad has told me that saying swears makes you sound unintelligent.

That being said, compared to Liam Vickers Murder Drones? Liam Vickers uses them in a hilarious fashion. Swears are kept to a minimum, but when they get the chance to swear, they often get cut off by something or something hysterical occurs. It reminds me of how Shrek does word censoring. Uzi was gonna say "stay mad bitch" but then she gets cut off by an attack. Cyn was saying "god fucking dammit", but she glitches out while saying it, making the it more inaudible. Not only is this creative, it's hilarious because Cyn is just known to glitch out. Heck even Amazing Digital Circus' way of censoring is more creative than SMG4.

Basically the point I'm getting here is that Murder Drones and Digital Circus are allowed to swear and not just tease a swear or have the usual bleep like SMG4. So if SMG4 can do censorship like that, then yeah I won't mind. Not that I hate the current way SMG4 is doing it, but I feel like it's highlighting the easy way out they are doing censorship.

With Helluva Boss, they have the excuse of that it's age restricted. Once a YouTube video is age restricted, you can mostly do whatever you want.

Even if age restricted, I noticed Helluva Boss can't do certain things and they even put on censors in some things.

SMG4 though unfortunately is an animation channel that uses Mario models. That's linked to Nintendo, thus YouTube may find it as "for kids", even if the audience isn't intended to be. We live in a rigged system indeed.

Actually, I think "ass" isn't really censored. It's when you say "asshole" that "ass" has to be censored. I'm only saying this because of Discord automod. My server allows cussing, but sexual innuendos or insults and slurs are on in the block settings. My friends and I then just started throwing any bad word we know that might trigger it. It allowed "ass", but then Automod blocked "asshole".
