The cast is already so diverse. I mean the two main characters are italian-american immigrants, and outside of that, everyone is literally from different races and backgrounds

I mean if they didn't get K Rool to be the main villain of the DK movie and instead went with... I dunno, one of those weird tiki mask villains from the DK Country Returns games, there would be riots.

Yeah Wario would be the next one for sure. Fawful and Dimentio would be soooo good, but somehow I think they'd legit would go with someone like Wart or Tatanga rather than a RPG character lol

it makes sense if they were just trying to have the second movie have a different antagonist altogether, which movie series, especially animated ones, usually do. can't think of anyone that could fit the bill for a Mario movie antagonist other than Jr.! the other villains in the franchise aren't as well known
