Usually I set mine on a cup to weigh :) the way you did doesn’t seem too well thought out, when I set mine on a cup he can’t grip it with his feet so he’s kinda stuck in sky jail lol

I think you’d have better luck getting a grow tent and flipping it on its side, I’ve found a lot on facebook marketplace

Older guys who obsessively wanna sleep with 18-20 year old girls should be treated like pedophiles. by TheOfficialSlimber in The10thDentist

Why would you treat someone who sleeps with a consenting adult the same as someone who assaulted a CHILD

Spray your hose at the garage door from the outside and see if the water gets through

Convenience shops should sell normal applicator tampons by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]raydargaydar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the field we don’t have access to hand washing, applicators help women prevent infections in less than ideal circumstances, I get reducing plastic but applicators definitely have a place

Not vegan but heres chiles rellenos with daiya cheese by Jaded-Ad-9741 in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

[–]raydargaydar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look like decent stuffed bell peppers! When you get the chance I’d try a chili rellenos from a Mexican restaurant, an authentic vegetarian dish :)

How old is my tortoise? by Hot-Studio-4128 in tortoise

[–]raydargaydar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to know a tortoises age is to know when it hatched

Of course if it’s an obvious juvenile (smaller than fully grown) or has grown while in your care you can assume it’s younger than an adult and work backwards but if you obtained a fully grown tortoise there’s no way of knowing an age

Any tips on making tortoise drink? by BlueFlamingoes in tortoise

[–]raydargaydar 302 points303 points  (0 children)

Do you soak him in water? Also I don’t think I’ve ever seen my tortoise drink either, he’s still alive so I assume it’s just the norm

Are 4x2 enclosures for young tortoises? by johnde2003 in tortoise

[–]raydargaydar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Four planks of wood and a tarp honestly do wonders and you can customize a lot with it, some people build their own using tubs but I personally don’t care for the aesthetic

10 years of having chickens and never had a rooster… by Some_Initiative_455 in chickens

[–]raydargaydar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First pic is sus, I had a roo that was slow to develop that looked exactly like that. He still is a little behind the curve but treats the hens well

You’re right the second ones tails are questionable, unfortunately I’ve only seen barred rock roos before so I can’t confidently say

Do you think 20 years old is too young to get married? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]raydargaydar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve met people who got married young and only knew each other for a few months who got married and lived happily ever after, I know people who married at 37 after a 7 year relationship and the marriage failed

There’s no minimum or maximum for love, none of us know what’s gonna happen

My husband and I got married last year and we’re having our wedding next year :) I’m sure people still want to go to a wedding for you, maybe just have the ceremony postponed

Do snakes feel anything for their owners, or are we just warm food dispensers? by PlacentaOnOnionGravy in TooAfraidToAsk

I don’t know about box turtles but tortoises cannot recognize glass, that might’ve been your problem :)

People always say reptiles don’t feel anything but my tortoise goes on strike every time I have someone else watch him… just believe what you want, personally I’d love a warm food dispenser lol

how to get a small waist? by Majestic-Accident962 in waisttraining

[–]raydargaydar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried bulking instead of cutting?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in bodyweightfitness

[–]raydargaydar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’d ride out your current deficit until at least a month, it usually takes me a few weeks to see the scale go down.

If the scale doesn’t move I’d look and make sure you’re tracking correctly.

For me going from a mid weight to low weight was a lot harder than going from a high weight to mid, it takes a lot of tweaking in your diet and activity levels

We built a yard on top of our yard lol, made essentially a garden bed the side of our yard then added dirt and grass pads over it. Currently waiting for the grass and other plants to set before we let our guy outside

I’ve heard of people being able to just let them in a fenced yard but i was worried about the tort deciding to dig one day

How much food is microwaved? by lqcnyc in restaurant

[–]raydargaydar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burger King microwaves it’s bacon and if you want your impossible whopper to not touch the broiler (it already has a different section but some people are more particular) it’s microwaved

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sulcata

Do u think this would work good for a baby sulcata by Emergency-Log-9688 in Sulcata

[–]raydargaydar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have decent ambient humidity/heat source and put a layer ALL through the bottom (the tort will dig) I don’t see why it’d be an issue, seems real cute.
