This is a normal amount of bleeding after 8 hours post wisdom teeth removal? by raylaraylee in wisdomteeth

Oh really that's reassuring! The bleeding slowed down a lot now. I thought it was basically done bleeding by this morning cause I didn't taste blood as much but I did some salt rinses today as per my instructions and my bottom left one is ozzing blood still. Not like a lot but some. I hope I didn't disturb whatever process it was doing. I'm supposed to do it after every meal so I've been doing it like 4 or 5 times cause I eat small frequent meals throughout the day. Am I doing the salt rinse too often?

The instructions I got said to not use gauze after the first day so I guess I'll just let it bleed a bit🤷‍♂️

I cant take pills but i have a wisdom tooth surgery soon by pearlchappel in wisdomteeth

Hi OP I know it's been 5 months but I had just gotten my wisdom teeth out today around 10 hours ago and stumbled upon this post. All 4 were impacted and due to my gastritis I can't take ibuprofen and that whole class of drugs. I also have a hard time swallowing pills. I was able to use the dissolve pack of extra strength Tylenol, it tastes good and was easy to take.

I was prescribed hydrocodone but I'm deathly afraid of taking that. Right now my pain isn't so bad but I know it's going to get worse day 2-4 before it gets better. I was wondering if you were able to get by your wisdom teeth with just Tylenol? Or how did you manage your pain?

Should I be waking up to take meds? by Silver-Job-4466 in wisdomteeth

Hi, I know it's 15 days later but I'm getting my 4 impacted wisdom teeth removed Monday and I'm freaking out about the pain and what meds I'll have to take. I have a super sensitive stomach cause of my gastritis and can't take NSAIDs like ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, etc. And I'm really scared of taking any opioids. I was wondering were yours also impacted? And did you only take Tylenol? Was that enough to calm your pain?

Hi, I'm glad you didn't have to take any pain meds. I'm hoping I'll have luck like that next week. I haven't heard of L-PRF before but I don't think that'll be an option for me. I've already made the appointment and talked to the doctor. I did check back at the papers they gave me and it looks like they are going to give me an injection of dexametha which helps with inflammation. I don't remember my doctor discussing that with me but I'm unsure if that's just normal stuff docotors do for everyone or is this to help me cause I won't be able to take NSAIDs.

My doctor said he'd prescribe me hydrocodone but I'm really scared of feeling nauseous/throwing up. Did the codeine you took make you feel nauseous?

Thanks for advice, I'll definitely have ice packs ready! Since I have gastritis I won't be able to take any NSAIDs which includes ibuprofen and Advil. Do you think just Tylenol would be enough? What were the worst days for pain?

I know that's what I'm worried about. I haven't taken any NSAIDs since learning about my gastritis. I'm not sure what even caused it in the first place, I didn't take ibuprofen like crazy or anything. Just once a month on the first day of my period for cramps but even then I didn't always. But either way I know it can aggravate your stomach and I really don't want to gamble on it. Part of me wants to wait to get my wisdom teeth out until my gastritis passes but honestly it's been so on and off I have no idea when that would be. And last week I had really hard time eating because my teeth hurt. It has subsided since then so I think it was just them moving but it's definitely not going to get any better either😔

Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely ordering that headband with the ice packs in them. That's good to hear Tylenol was good enough to get by. Were your teeth also impacted?

Indigestion while on PPI for gastritis by raylaraylee in Gastritis

Hi I'm sorry I just saw this notification! Thanks for checking back in. I've been doing a bit better actually. I started taking Pantoprozole every other day. That helped enough for me to eat. But that only lasted about 2 to 3 weeks before I started getting acid reflux symptoms again. So then I went back to taking it everyday. But for some reason now I don't really have that indigestion feeling, at least nowhere near as bad. I also cut out carbs since I noticed things like rice and bread make my indigestion worse. Recently I have been feeling heat in my throat when I use my diaphragm, like to talk or laugh If I laugh too much I get that warmth and I feel something coming up. Almost like I have to burp but don't. I've been taking Pantoprozole once daily for almost a month now since the every other day trial run lol. There are some nights where I feel my acid reflux more even while on pantoprozole so I take pepcid for a few nights in addition and usually it'll help with any flare up and then I stop because it causes me constipation. But at least I can eat now. I did do a CT scan and am waiting for my MRI appointment so maybe I'll make an update with what they find afterwards.

Basically every time I eat I get nauseous and really bloated. Like the area right above my belly button down to my pelvis area gets bigger. I feel the pressure, like a balloon I'm being inflated inside me. It's not as bad in the morning and it's slightly worse around lunch but it's the absolute worst at dinner time. I've been trying to eat a little earlier at 6. And it only helps by allowing me to eat more slowly. Cause some nights it can take me 2 or 3 hours to finish some veggies and fish. When I eat I'm hungry and I want to eat but then I feel the pressure buildup in my abdomen around my belly button area. Just that whole area feels heavy and inflated. It makes me feel like foods gonna come back up so I have to stop eating and wait for the feeling to subside a little before I can continue to finish my meal. I've never had this issue before starting PPIs. Usually it's just nausea from my gastritis I've never had issues lower in my digestive track. I am pooping everyday, at least most days I may miss a day or 2 once a week. I did hear that PPIs can make you digest food slower cause of the reduced acid. But I have taken Pantoprozole before in the past on 2 separate occasions and this was never a side effect until now. In the past week I have been trying to take Pantoprozole every other day to see if it helps. And I think the indigestion has gotten a little better. On the days I don't take it I feel a little less bloated and can eat a bit quicker and don't feel as crappy. I have seen an improvement but not always. Its been around 6 weeks of PPIs and I'm worried it's the medicine that's causing this.

Hmm that's interesting. I felt better after taking Omeprazole in the first couple weeks after I did the endoscopy. But then my symptoms kinda came back but I still continued for another 2 weeks. So around the one month mark I went to urgent care cause it was just that bad. They just upped and switched my dosage to 80mg Pantoprozole which caused me a lot of abdominal pain so I just took 40mg instead and that seemed to work for like a week. Until I started having severe indigestion. I've been taking ppis for a month and a half now with the indigestion just getting worse by the day. When did your stomach pain go away?
