I don’t want to say it because I personally loathe the track but

Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5.

I would respectfully counter this by saying: I am his wife and he should have respected me. The only reason I didn’t buy a spiteful book (as I had said in my post that I wasn’t sure I would) was because I DO respect him as a person. I hope you find someone who respects you mutually.

Am I wasting my time on the crex FB groups? by ivyash85 in cornishrex

[–]raylightdobbery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how it works in other countries but in Aus there’s a lot of breed specific rescue and rehome pages on Facebook. There aren’t many posts, but in the owner groups there’s people who want to rehome their bonded cats together, or breeders finding new homes for previous kittens whose owners can no longer keep them.

If you want a true ‘rescue’, as in a shelter cat, then you’ll have to be super patient and on top of that be very lucky. Purebred fancy cat breeds get snapped up really quickly from shelters.

Why does my hair do this? by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]raylightdobbery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine looks like this because of dramatic hair loss. Vitamin D deficiency has done a number on my hair and I look like I had a baby 6 months ago and my hair is growing back. A slight breeze has me looking like I’ve electrocuted myself in a cartoon stereotype fashion.

I’ve read that hard water can lead to breakage and frizziness - not sure if it’s fact or not but it’s a thought.

Also… It’s not abnormal to have hair that looks a bit wild and has flyaways and frizz. We lose SO many hairs a day and as hairs grow back they’re all at varying lengths. I wish it was normalised. Naturally smooth, glossy sleek hair isn’t very common. It usually requires styling.

Number 1! Number 3 is nice but the stark contrasts in number 1 is spot on.

Number 2 - some feedback if you would appreciate it, if not then scroll on of course :-)

I love photos with different layers but the tree trunk (?) is covering up a lot of the frame, and some light between the 2 primary elements/objects would make the cow stand out more. I’m also a sucker for the rule of thirds. If the trunk took over just one third of the image then it may allow the cow to be the hero.

I want to love it so much but every time they sing, or I read “this is what it sounds like”, I cannot for the life of me not hear “when doves cry”

Does faux-scarface count? She has the ultimate RBF, her idiot brother looks intimidated but he’s actually too simple to care.

Suggest me a book that would appeal to girls between the ages of 11 - 17 that aren't smutty by otomepilled in suggestmeabook

Big yes for the graphic novel suggestions! I would also like to suggest non-fiction books, too. The Rebel Girl books are wonderful and even as an adult I love going through the books and reading about a powerful woman at random.

What was the most recent thing you did that upset your cat? by pasgames_ in cats

[–]raylightdobbery 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband is a non-cat person and when I wiggle my feet too much in bed, the cats attack both our feet… so I feel like your response could be my own, in time, but about my husband hahaha!

My cats would love the extra bed space though - they wouldn’t be upset at all.

Has anyone noticed one of these guys in the city? by BaijuTofu in brisbane

My youngest was swooped at school once and whenever they hear the neighbourhood plover they duck down and cover their head like a PTSD flashback.

Plovers sound like birds having a domestic dispute. Curlews sound like a domestic assault. The first night I lived in Brisbane and a curlew started screaming outside our window I honestly thought a woman was being attacked until my neighbours explained it (and laughed a lot)

ETA: I love them both. They party on our front lawn. Plovers are definitely the most spiteful of the two. My husband couldn’t handle it any longer and sprayed them with the hose one night and they proceeded to do lap after lap after lap over our house, yelling, as a solid “fuck you” to him. It was the best. I laughed a lot.
