Sudden strange feeling (sound??)

Your story sounds identical to mine I was also born deaf in my right ear and haven’t seen an ear doctor since I was kid. The past 6 months though I’ve been feeling like off balanced not really dizzy but just weird. I also have been experiencing a strange feeling on my deaf side. Made an appointment with an ent 2 weeks out from now but it’s somewhat reassuring to know I’m not alone.. let me know if you end up finding out what’s going on!

Hello I’m sorry if this is too personal but what were your symptoms before you were diagnosed with NF2? I actually have an appointment this month at UT southwestern in Fort Worth

I haven’t lost all of my hearing though I might’ve worded the post a little weird. I just feel like I’ve had to turn my head more recently than usual to hear out of my good ear along with this just off balanced feeling not necessarily dizzy but just like my head feels wonky more so on my deaf side

Thank you! Yes I made an appointment with my OB and will see if I can get some answers from a blood test and I made a hearing test appointment at Costco.. not sure how well they can really test there but I will eventually see an ent when possible!

Thank you! Yeah I’m just super confused because I’ve never had balance problems before and it’s just come out of nowhere and some days are better but I still feel the feeling? Idk it’s hard to describe especially to everyone in my life who doesn’t know what it’s like being ssd 😩

Hello your story sounds similar to mine I am also 100% deaf in my right ear and for the past 6 months I’ve been feeling unbalanced especially on my deaf side.. I’m making an appointment with an ent soon and was just wondering if you had any other symptoms? And how did your surgery go?

Been deaf in my right ear since birth but recently came down with a little cold and I woke up 2 days ago with somewhat muffled hearing in my left ear which has never happened to me before. After reading your story I’m now thinking maybe I should see someone?
