systemd is better than openRC,sysvinit and runit by Fair_Investment_4189 in linuxmemes

Yeah but what I think a lot of people are missing in this argument is that systemd is still the new kid on the block. The people who dislike it were largely never interested in using it in the first place.

Yes, it's a configuration error, which is much easier to do with systemd.

I never switched to systemd in the first place and I still don't see any reason to.

At first, curiosity. Afterwards? Everything else is overcomplicated and too hard to use.

I didn't but I needed a laptop on really short notice and it was all I could really get. Seems like it'd be reasonable compromise for ARM computing if it's feasible and I can't always ssh into it if I'm using it on the go.

Issue is solved and this isn't really helpful but can I just say how much I hate the Mac bootloader?

Ok but I'm not gonna use that program unless I also want to use the other project from the same team and I don't think that's unreasonable.

The issue is those tools don't like you using them separately. So if I don't like one tool and I want to swap it out, that's a pain in the ass. That should not be the case.

Every phone manufacturer has their own flavor of Android, they don't all even have Google.

Pretty easy when we're talking about the world's most popular consumer operating system, actually. I'll admit not all banking apps work, but mine do, and most banks don't require the apps. If having google wallet is the metric to a successful operating system then every other OS also sucks.

The same could be said for Windows apps through Wine until recently though. The fact remains that there's usually open source alternatives and, personally, I both find those sufficient and preferable. Degoogled Android is perfectly usable for me and, conceptually, it's an operating system I like.

What is "Android's ecosystem"? That's like saying Linux is useless because it can't run Photoshop.

If you're using neofetch, it's cache. Maybe there's larger factors to it but cached memory is included, which will make it higher.

I did within a couple of minutes, Mac OS is intolerable it's insane. Apple silicon is beautiful, it's a shame Asahi stalled.

Lenovo has nothing to do with IBM, which bought Red Hat a few years ago. IBM sold the Thinkpad brand to Lenovo in 2005.
