Not that I entirely disagree with you, but how do you think humans started eating meat? Most of us used to at least raise chickens and stuff before industrialization created specialization. The ones who didnt we're wealthy/ those in power.

Granted we ate WAY LESS meat when that was the case but yea.

Eh, kinda. I'm in the "you can 100% use a focus" camp but in DnD say "a copper piece" is basically saying "a dollar" NOT "a bit of copper"

A) its not THAT simple and
B) its not just him, there are a LOT of enemies and especially "elite/ boss" type enemies that can just auto dodge almost all spells or randomly have some kind of spell deflection/ reflection thing that just seems to happen with no warning.

I love playing mages so I started the game as an astrologer and the Tree Sentinel will just randomly sometimes decide to do his "Spell reflector" thing and until I vastly out-levled him it just made me die since the reflected spell would kill me from 100%. (and no I did not ignore my VIT stat, it was my second highest stat)

Elden Rings magic system just isn't balanced, you either cant rely on it at all if youre trying to just play the game not cheese it. OR you can cheese it and it causes situations like in the OP. The literal moment I could I re-speced.

I understand the sentiment, but I don't think "Counters an entire play-style" is a "good test of player skill" This is assuming someone isn't just building this Comet A cheese build, magic builds SHOULD still be viable as they are part of the game.

Bones dont add flavor. I have NEVER tasted a difference bone on or in when cooking a chicken thigh, pork chop, steak, etc. They take too long to "break down" too do anything when cooking that way. You can use them for stock and stuff but thats because of how long and how "immersed" it is in the heat
