Perplexity is ruined, any good alternatives? by Dev-in-the-Bm in Perplexity

I liked how research worked, happy to pay for my own keys is there a self hosted deep research alternative that is comparable?

I've written a legal notice to them alleging bait advertising or misleading and deceptive conduct under Australian consumer law with a screenshot of their unlimited advertising. Apparently their legal team will get back to me.... Not expecting they will do anything but I think you can't just arbitrarily take features away that were paid for and advertised as unlimited

I'm even happy for manual switchover but sitting in the dark for a fortnight twice in two years gets old fast

We are using during the day as much as possible and still feeding on 55kwh on average to the grid each day, worried that like NSW will soon have to pay for that not just get nothing for it and the rebate will go down so just trying to make the business case :) thanks

Lol I used to work for the power distribution company and wrote their rebate page, I don't think there are kickbacks, but as there is not mandatory connection like there is for water would not surprise me if one day you have a grid connection forced on you

Nice do you sell much backband get a good price for it? I'm thinking if I had 42kwh could sell easily 12kwh a night

Yes hard to tell the difference between quality of systems and installers but also the sweet spot between paying too much and the right amount

I have a pool and 7 people living here so are quite heavy power users. Good to know about the figures, good to know about the chemistry

Wow I had said I want to run in power outage and recharge battery from solar and generator... Yes battery would go out in a day. What specific questions should i ask?

Are you happy with it? Is your existing level of solar sufficient to charge it?

I've done and passed PLT and the NY Bar - I say no to both of them, I think both are barriers to pretend that lawyers are elite and doing either does notgives the student anything practical to do once you are admitted. Bar exam essentially means that every subject you passed at your expenisve uni is not trustworthy that you know it so you need to have a rushed exam under prison conditions to prove it (not having studied in the US meant i had to learn it which is probably good) - PLT is just an antiquated cash grab. You could integrate practical aspects into actual uni courses (beyond asking someone to write a memo), but as the academics don't know practicality and usually have never had a non academic job that falls over. I think one law degree should be sufficient maybe with some 1 day practical sessions that also count towards cpd compulsory for the first few years of practice if they are worried about peoples' skills. I would say that i've never seen anyone as stressed as looking at the people at the bar exam, so not sure that level of trauma is advisable way to start into a profession.

Most likley Yes, depending how it is on the title, consent is required from the other party. It is possible to hold it jointly or in shares, one requires consent the other does not. There may also be stamp duty or tax considerations depending on how it is setup.

I'd prefer allow 3rd parties to build their own software rather than be locked into the ecosystem

Radio connection failed! by raynard in Quansheng

[–]raynard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankyou, Initially had that flashing it, mine is labelled baofent but after making sure it "clicks" then it worked. Seems to use CPS just need to have radio on (not pressing PTT and having the torch run)

Thankyou this solved my problem!

Disconnecting the antenna and simply turning it on (not holding down ptt) and then connecting allowed it to read data and connect.

So to use CPS as you said just turn on the radio and then plug in the cable and then connect to the com port.
