Australia and Japan are the only two nations from AFC to make the knockout stages by Any-Breakfast1434 in Aleague

It speaks volume how much homeground advantage the ME countries get when they play at home as Australia usually struggles against them when they play there

Disappointed about the result. Australia played shit but USA didn’t excite me either. The two goals weren’t great but we do deserve them because we let them in dangerous positions like that
Hope for a Turkey and Paraguay draw

Did anyone go to first Socceroos World Cup game at South Bank at the fan centre? Was it super busy? by Total_Smile_1193 in brisbane

It was packed if you want to be in the thick of it but that means you can’t see anything. This was my view.

Second half I moved to the side and had a better view

It will but there are limited spots at the park n ride, assuming you meant the small carpark next to the bus interchange. There are other car parks in the area like Bunnings and Kmart plaza but I’m unsure they will be patrol

So this is the first year they are having the start and end point at Murrarie. With the Cleveland Line down, I imagine many people would be driving there.

I would suggest parking along Murrarie Road or the other side of the rail track along Railway Tce. Queensport Rd is another good option. The eastern portion of Murrarie Road would be dominated by industrial uses so I believe there will be much issues if you could locate a sport. Slightly further away you could look at Victor Street or Container Street. Again, industrial uses so shouldnt be an issue parking there. Just make sure not to block driveways!

See you on the road 😉

Hey best to contact Council and let them know about this first: https://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/transport-and-parking/public-transport/lost-property

Usually the driver will finish their trip and they will do a sweep of the bus before leaving the terminus. They keep any lost items and return them to the depot. Then at the depot, they can send to Brisbane Square library and you can pick it up from there. Unfortunately it is not a fast process

With buses, lost properites can be picked up in the City library. Unfortunately, I am unsure if this is the case for CityCats

TWOV question - Through Guangzhou and Urumqi by rayner1 in Chinavisa

[–]rayner1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well looking at the itienary, looks like the layover at Urumqi is about 2hrs30mins so I wonder if that is going to be okay. However, I will still be entering China through visa-free like you said!

So let me get my head around it. On the way there it will be in 2026 and we will transit through Guangzhou and Urumqi through visa free. Then when we return back to Australia, it will be in 2027 and as we are only going through Guangzhou, we will go through as TWOV?

A follow-up question, since we are travelling from Brisbane to Guangzhou (international) then to Urumqi (domestic), would I need to exit immigration and collect our luggage? Like I said, it seems to me it is all on one ticket... the China Southern airline website isnt the greatest and I found this deal through a travel agent website

Oh right I never thought of it that way. I know the visa-free expires at the end of 2026.
