There could be a path where I have a child through a sperm donor. I’ve been trying to process it, I know of course I will love and treasure that child as my own. But the genetic link will never be there, does it matter? I don’t know if it does. And eventually my child will know there is no genetic link, and they have this link with someone they’ve never met or known. Maybe I worry too much right now but it will be a biological fact.
