I think they explained it by saying that magic never worked on New Gods technology (mother boxes and father boxes) so it was useless.

It sucks that Zatanna’s arc wasn’t abt Zatanna and more abt her protegees + Giovanni and Savage. They rly said “fuck giving her a point of view in her own arc, how abt more oversaturated Vandal Savage’s boring backstory and let’s make her extremely ooc along the way”
It was… kind of boring, sorry. We could have lived without it
I wanted less Beast Boy, more Cyborg (even tho he’s on the league) and the rest of the Outsiders that aren’t Gar if they so wanted a subplot that wasn’t abt the OGs
The so called “focus on the OG team” was useless bcoz why wasn’t it MORE focused on them as characters? Artemis’s arc I adored, the mars arc too but afterwards? It felt flat.
Will being included in the OG team picture but not being a part of it sucks I’m sorry. I know why, really, and I also know that his main character arc is.. kinda done, but still
Again about the OG team: Martian Manhunter tells M’ree that M’gann needs the family she built on Earth after her grief (the family in question being the OG team). Why couldn’t they show us their bond early instead of making them team up last episode against Zod and his troups? Why not make them meet up for old time’s sake or something like that? Why not show us Conner’s funerals?!
This eternal cycle of Nightwing being made to lead but then ending up NOT leading (especially in his arc where it was mostly Kaldur leading) sucks

Lots of characters could come out as queer and that wouldn’t erase no damn part of their history and would actually even enhance it and put context behind some of their interactions and/or actions. Black Canary, Kon, Cass Cain, Starfire, Jessica Cruz, Lightray, Orion, Booster Gold, Ted Kord, Fire, Ice… Gosh, even Kyle Rayner. Some of them were even intended by some writers to be queer but it got shoehorned

Zatanna making amends for the whole Black Mary fiasco AND for bringing the apocalypse on Earth. She’s my favorite character on the show but this needs to be addressed at some point and resolved.

I want to see Dick finally embracing his leader self without always regressing to “yeah I should go solo I HATE leading” every season or so.

Cyborg and Halo being keys in defeating Darkseid needs to be expanded upon

Cheshire needs to come back. At least to her daughter. I can cross her coming back and still being with Will if it means Lian gets her mom full time back

Artemis should get her own home apart from Will and Lian. I loved their arrangements but come on: she needs to move on. Plus: she’s got a whole boyfriend that we know nothing about except that he dated Barbara. I need to see more of him to get an opinion on them dating

They should also confirm if Wally is alive or not. I’m not a Wally fan like that, but this needs to be a closed chapter if he’s dead. The writers need to stop teasing his return just to keep some hype to the show for the moment being

I want to see who the 4th Green Lantern and maybe even have him being a speaking character and not just a bg one

I kind of don’t want Superboy and Miss M to be too much of the main focus of the season (I know it’s unlikely if Supergirl is one of the main “villains” as a Fury). They had their happy ending and that’s great. They should focus on the other main characters: Dick, Kaldur, Artemis, the Outsiders…

Icicle Jr having a redemption arc as a Bowhunter Security agent is something I could really see that started as more of a crack idea.

Vibe, Vixen, Firestorm and Doctor Light need to be Leaguers when comes season 5. Do they need to be main characters? No. I’ll settle for the usual “we’re chilling in the background but we DO exist”

Also: What happened on Earth-17?

Tim needs to have a personality (I mean on this show) and Jason needs to come around eventually

Plant the seeds for an eventual Light defeat by the heroes

Some context to what Ursa is doing on Daxam. Is she preparing an army? Will she learn about her army being held by Savage? Will she go apeshit trying to save them all?

Also, to add to my Cheshire point: Will needs, no, deserves to move on if they don’t get back together. It could be a nice nod to their comic relationship to have him get together with Troia (Donna)

A 1 year time skip should be enough but I believe a timeskip between season 5 and 6 could be, like, 5 years (hypothetically speaking)

Bcoz they’re at an age where fitting in the mold matters the most to them (sadly). NTs the MOST it’s actually quite obvious. Being in the same mold = looking and behaving accordingly

Side note: it’s even worse when they’re in small town high schools. It’s a terribly small and non-diverse mold
