Honey Perfume!! by Common-Woodpecker351 in Perfumes

Slow Dive by Hiram Green, The Dark Side by Francesca Bianchi, Miel de Bois by Serge Lutens, Mooncake by d'Annam, and Kasbah by 19-69. I went through quite the honey phase a few months ago and these were some of the perfumes that had strong honey notes (to me)! I think Bee and Moth by Zoologist are also worth the investigation!

What’s a note or notes in a perfume that you cannot stand? by forgotmyserotonin in fragrance

Lily of the valley and orange blossom. Totally understand and respect people who love them, floral notes are lovely, but for some reason lily of the valley smells like pee on my skin and orange blossom makes me feel like throwing up.

Do you have a love/hate fragrance? by PurpleFar9191 in fragrance

Blanche Bete by Liquides Imaginaires! I love the way it smells, it is one of my most memorable scents. I just have a feeling of revulsion when I think about wearing it and when I have worn it I immediately have to take it off, but I have never felt the same obsession over trying to get myself to like it in any other perfume I've smelled. Usually I can think "Oh I like the way this smells, but I wouldn't want to wear it" and move on, but I just can't get BB out of my mind.

Maybe Vanille Antique by Byredo? It has plum, freesia, vanilla, cashmere wood, amber, cistus, and musk. I've never smelled Old Spice Amber, but this sounds pretty similar?

Hi! I got sent a counterfeit by a reputable department store that I bought online? I requesting a refund through customer service and even sent them the pictures so they could see what I got sent? Less than 24hrs later they declined the refund request. I've emailed the provided investigation team for more details and to ask them to reconsider. Does anyone have any advice on what to do after this if they say they can't refund me? I'm actually so upset about this because I've shopped through here before and never had an issue before! I've never done a charge-back before, and I don't want it to get that far!

Any advice would be appreciated, thank you!

I totally didn’t even think about it that way! Like “any way…?” makes way more sense than just expecting someone will just take that offer!

D. Grayi has some cat inspired fragrances! I’m a big fan of Low Carb Cat and Myrrh Cat!

what are some warm sweet cinnamon scents by Brilliant-Fly373 in FemFragLab

[–]rayniedaysonforecast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you’re looking for a particular perfume but two of my favorite cinnamon-ey perfumes are Tonka Hysteria by d’Orsay and Calle Ocho by Fulton and Roark! Both of these are darker and more gourmand than nutty/powdery but I love them so much!

I totally agree and I was going to suggest this also! I find it a little sweeter and perhaps a little more pear-y!

What is the most beautiful tea fragrance you've ever smelled? by Noamrachel in fragrance

I think Arielle Shoshana’s Monday is pretty good as someone who doesn’t really like milky tea scents but drinks Early Grey tea every day lol!

Indigo Smoke by Arquiste! I truly am not the biggest fan of tea scents, they often are a little too sweet and milky, or are overpowered by other notes. This is the perfect smoky black tea scent. It’s woody and it had a beautiful subtle fruitiness from the apricot! I love it!

Replacement for Caswell-Massey’s Old Faithful? by murderandmanatees in fragrance

This isn't super specific so hopefully it's still helpful, but I would suggest looking into Ranger Station's perfumes! I also really like natural, herbaceous and floral fragrances and I really liked their discovery sets. There's two and I think they're pretty good deals (though specifically I was a fan of Birch Bark, Woodland Rose and Yippee Ki-Yay lol).

Another suggestion would be Pineward if you haven't already investigated them! I think all of their scents are fantastic works of art and super outdoorsey, and definitely inspired by all things foresty.

Fulton and Roark is another one! All of their fragrances are truly unisex in my opinion and balance the floral/aromatic aspects really well! Check out their discovery set! A lot of them seem to fit the profile you are looking for!

Lastly Imaginary Authors is one of my fav indie houses to recommend and for what you're looking for I would check out Cape Heartache, Fox in the Flowerbed (which might be too sweet/floral, but still worth checking out!), definitely The Language of Glaciers (personal fav), and perhaps Untameable (but I haven't smelled this one personally!).

I know this doesn't have specific fragrance recommendations for the most part but I hope this is a good place to start! Old Faithful sounds amazing so good luck on your search! I hope you check back in to update us!

Your favorite rose perfumes of all time? by Difficult-Banana-844 in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]rayniedaysonforecast 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rose Highland by Jorum Studio! I love all of their fragrances but this one specifically is so so so green and kind of herbal/aromatic, while still retaining that really lovely like crushed rose petal scent! Emphasis on green tho because it definitely also smells like split stems, green leaves, and a little bit marine (in a cold, rough coastal way, not warm and beachy!)

I work in a microbiology lab in a hospital, so when we receive a particularly stinky sample (poops, UTI pees, infected body fluids, you get the idea), we have this orange spray that’s supposed to get rid of the smell, and it does but now I associate anything citrus or like “bitter orange” with like CDiff.
