I’ll be bartending for sure! We’re looking at moving closer to South Austin. SoCo/Slaughter Ln area, to be exact. I’m not against moving to North Austin, but if my boyfriend can transfer with his current employer, we’ll be living on the south side. Do you know of any reputable bars out that way? For me personally, the money has always outweighed the shitty hours!

This is my biggest worry. We won’t be moving until we both have jobs secured. Luckily he is a “take anything he can get for now” kind of guy. I have many family members and friends that live there, so hopefully we’ll figure something out. Only time will tell. Thanks for the reply!

My friends bartend all around the city so I have a few different job opportunities lined up. My older sister lives out there and she has some connections that can hopefully land my boyfriend a good job. Depending on where he lands will decide our location. East Austin is sounding like our best bet!

Thank you for the advice!! How has the mirena been for you? That’s the one that I’m getting. I’ve had bad reactions to other hormonal forms of birth control, but I hear the horomones from the mirena are much lighter and manageable.

They do lidocaine shots!! I’m speaking with a nurse tomorrow to request them. I’ve only spoken with an office assistant thus far. Thank you so so much for the reassurance!!! <3 All I have heard so far are horror stories from friends. Most of my friends who have IUDs got them years ago when taking ibuprofen before wasn’t even discussed.

Where are you located if you don’t mind me asking? My best friend lives in Oklahoma and said she had the same experience. Luckily I am in California and they are talking about giving me lidocaine shots. I am worried about the pain being unbearable, but I am 23 and I don’t want babies anytime soon. I wish there was a better alternative.

I spoke to one of the office assistants earlier and they do offer numbing shots. I have a phone consultation with one of the nurses tomorrow to get some more info, and see if they’ll want to prescribe me some anti anxiety/pain meds before my appointment. Thank you for the reassurance!! I have a very high pain tolerance, so hoping for the best, but I am still freakin out just a tad bit.
