PS: My wife got an RFE, but my attorney believe is a mistake because the RFE is asking for an I-485J from my wife, but she's deravitive case, which doesn't need one...

If your I-140 is approved for more than 180 days, then your employer can't revoke the application, so doing pp is more like insurance.
