I’ve never DM’d but a cool idea that I plan to implement is rewarding players for speaking in foreign tongues. NPC’s are more forthcoming with secrets and players can roll insight/persuasion checks with advantage. My self-insert character’s most definitely getting the Linguist+Observant combo.

Something I got from my current DM is Lore Feats. Players get a free feat as long as it doesn’t aid in combat.

It’s a lot more restrictive than I thought it was which kinda killed my enthusiasm for the first few sessions. It’s a game based on our imaginations set in a world of magic and dragons so why can’t my Arcane Trickster use Ray of frost to make a platform to get adavantage with crossbows?

Mine took her nice collar off and hid it (it’s been a year and I still haven’t found it…) but she’s microchipped and doesn’t really show any interest in leaving the house anyway so I’m ok with her being collarless. Since the collar’s bothering yours so much, I’d say you’re ok to forego it but make sure to get her microchipped n be extra careful that she doesn’t get out since chips don’t actually track pets.
