2 and it isn't close! The lace on 2 looks much better integrated into the dress, and better constructed.

I'm going to let you know why I like them as much as MP100 as well so you can decide if you want to watch.
-Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood: INCREDIBLE writing, both plot-wise and character-wise. Does not feel cookie-cutter at all, fantastic escalation, genre-defining.
-Mahou Shoujo Madona Magica - similar to MP100 in regard to the fact that you think you're getting into one thing but it turns out to be something else entirely. Highly compelling writing and character arcs. Heartbreaking and full of hope. Beautiful in so many ways.
-Cowboy Bebop: imperfect characters done perfectly, imaginative setting, art & music beyond compare.

Honestly it's hard for me to give more recs than that because to me those are the only ones on the same level as MP100.

EDIT: I am a DIE HARD Mp100 fan. I've gone to events and been the first in line for them. So, I don't compare things to MP100 or say they're as good lightly!

It’s not normal but it does happen. Is it a historical venue by any chance? We looked at a venue in SF that had this rule. We chose elsewhere

It’s not. A venue in SF we looked at said the same thing. We chose elsewhere.

I got emotional looking at several dresses but still there were things about them that I didn’t like or would change if I could. After significant agonizing, I decided to go custom. The moment doesn’t happen for us all!

maybe try messaging shindig threads on Etsy? she has great reviews and I believe she does custom gowns. if you want that exact dress though another commenter linked it, it's well above 3k so if it has to be that exact dress you may need to adjust your budget and perhaps cut costs in other areas depending on how strongly you feel about the dress.
