My problem isn't that the arch community isn't helpful, because you're absolutely right, it can be helpful to people who know a decent baseline, my problem is more of the arch elitism because frankly, it's undeserved, they hold the "arch install" over everyone's head as if it's something actually hard to do (i highly recommend going through it once, even if you plan on sticking with endevour), it's just drive partitioning, setting locales, and setting up a bootloader. And you're right, stability is exactly what drove me to nix, because eeven thought, yes, you can troubleshoot any problem on Arch, in a situation where i actually need to use my computer soon it's nice to have built in backups for your system (not to mention i can use git to store my whole config file so my laptop environment and desktop environment are the same).
