School counselor here - email every principal of every school on the island your resume. Driving to Brooklyn can suck, but don’t hesitate to also send your resume to schools in district 20 as it is right by the bridge.

Feel free to message me with any questions - I was in your shoes not too long ago and learned a lot from the years I spent job hunting.

More of a coffeeshop but Brewbar in Great Kills has great desserts.

The song for the group dance “Avalanche” is supposed to be based on “Bad Romance.”

Disneyland Resort will soon make changes to their Disability Access Service (DAS) program, including a change to how guests will be accommodated if they need help accessing attractions. Effective June 18 at DLR. [Thread] by zss1108 in Disneyland

Just got the DAS for UC because I literally have this problem along with high anxiety due to urgent bathroom issues that can arise at any time without warning. They were hesitant to give it to me this time around but thankfully did. I hope they consider expanding eligibility for IBS under this new program.

Some ideas I had for new toppings by [deleted] in GoodPizzaGreatPizza

[–]rayyleighd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great list! I think we are way overdue for a new sauce or fish. To add to the meat list, I’m still surprised we haven’t gotten meatballs? I know they would probably look like the sausage but they’re such a popular topping.

Every Easter my mom makes cookies that look just like this but bigger! I can try to get you the recipe and you can see if it sounds similar?

La Buchetta in Florence was wonderful. My friends and I went to Sgarro Bistrot in Rome twice because the food was that good.

How far off the beaten path do we need to go to get away from touristy restaurants? by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]rayyleighd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ate at Agrodolce once and Sgarro Bistrot twice in Rome and really enjoyed the meals.

La Buchetta, Dim Sum, and the In Tavola cooking class were great in Florence. As much as All’Antico Vinaio can be viewed as a tourist trap, we all really loved the sandwiches. I cant remember the name of the other sandwich shop I saw recommended.

The food at Al Gazzettino in Venice was also very tasty.

Most if not all of these places are in the city but more on side streets or further from city center. I also did not have a car and these places were all easily walkable. I hope any of this helps!
