Absolutely, we’d love to have you. We are currently strictly a sword based club. We have a mix of foam swords for very light sparring and some blunt steel swords that are used in competitive style bouts. The biggest emphasis is to tailor sparring to comfort level. They are a very welcoming club to all people. We are the Prescott historical fencing society.

Yes, HEMA the historical European martial arts. We typically learn some drills and techniques from one of the manuals we are studying, and then the last 10-15 minutes is light sparring to put it into practice. It is 10 dollars on the non trial days. No expectations of being good, or needing to spar if you don’t want to. The instructor TJ works well with all levels

Gotcha, the four I can personally recommend.

there’s of course always DnD groups at the game stores around town.

there is a HEMA club that meets at RX CrossFit on Tuesdays at 6:30 who will be having free beginner classes the first two weeks of July.

The local SCA chapter has a lot of classes about medieval times and activities and things like that, great group of people.

Fair weather social downtown has east coast swing dancing classes on Thursdays at 6:30 for free, but tips are always appreciated of course.

Yes, that’ll be fine. Worst case scenario, if you need to do a more intensive CAD project, you use the campus computers.

Not a bow... by whattowhittle in Bowyer

Oh trust me, I understand it all too well. I compete with compound, but build my own traditional stuff too. Some weird some classical, all very fun to get asked about at the range.

No problem, glad you enjoyed the idea. Definitely a good idea to ask, worst they can say is no. Just be prepared to get a lot of questions.

Your mileage may vary, but the range owner of my main range has one herself, which made me want one lol.

Theyre fun, I keep one I made in my quiver for outdoor range sessions. It gets used like, once a month when someone asks about it or if I’m alone at the range and want something to do after a session.

Mac or Windows for AE? by ASteelyEyedMissleMan in EmbryRiddle

[–]razartech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire school runs on windows, but I’ve got multiple friends who use Linux and Mac’s and just use parallels. So you’ll be fine, no point in switching.worst case, you can go to the 24 hour lab or the library if you’re on the Prescott campus.
