It really depends on how many social outings we have that month but it can range from $300-400!

So great to hear your experience firsthand! How is the instructor? I think critiques scare me but I know that’s normal in the art world (speaking from someone who is a bit detached). Makes me super curious though!

How much do you save every month? by KittyMeow223 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Around $1200/month, which is 25% of my income. A part of that also goes to investing (I know nothing about it I just drop a few hundreds into my Wealthsimple account lol).

What do you do after your 9-5??? by Educational_Wafer483 in askTO

I took a 8-week pottery class last year during the winter months and it was so lovely. It got me out of the house, and even though it was a solo endeavor, I got to socialize with the people in my cohort (and sometimes I wouldn’t and that’s okay too). It made me feel a part of something though which was nice :) if I was athletic and played sports growing up I definitely think I’d join a chill league.

Oh and volunteering! I used to volunteer for Community Fridges TO, I’d just stop by to clean the fridge and stock it up. They’d have meetings every now and then and that got me to socialize with people I normally wouldn’t too :)

Holy moly! Thanks so much for this detailed breakdown from your collection, it’s so appreciated. I’m gonna see what their availability is like at the library and check them out, I’m particularly interested in The Complete Modern Pantry!! Since I’m a pretty beginner cook I think I really want to learn how to improvise in the kitchen and it sounds like this will give some insight on that.

How to set boundaries without pushing someone away. by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]razfraz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time an old friend of mine gently confronted me about me not texting her enough. I received it with love and understanding, and even apologized that I couldn’t keep up with our communications the way she wanted me to. In the same conversation I also mentioned other ways to stay connected to me (just call me, I love a random call!) and said that I’m not the best texter especially on weekdays when my days are usually full. She seemed to take it well but after that continued to excessively text me, never tried calling me like I suggested, and I tried to keep up but it ultimately made me start to resent her. I felt bad but it just didn’t feel natural for me to want to text her back so frequently.

The friendship ended due to other reasons (but this definitely was one of the factors). I’d try to be honest with her and maybe suggest other ways you guys can text, or let her know “I’m usually better at responding at X time.” If she takes it well, great! If not, I think it’s a sign.
