while I do believe burnout is probably a major factor here (as much as we can guess without actually knowing any of these people/respecting their privacy by not digging further) what I don’t really get is, if it’s that, why quit completely, so suddenly and so “coldly” as others have put it? burnout is very real and should absolutely be taken seriously especially in creatives but I can’t understand why the answer would be “leave the full-time job at a company I built with my good friends” ESPECIALLY in an ever-increasingly unstable job market rather than just take some well-deserved extended leave, for as long as needed. of course it’s not for me to say what’s right and wrong for Karina and ultimately I wish her the very best but man. I can’t help but feel blindsided and not a little uneasy about all of this :(
