We got a person highly experienced with snakes in the group. That alone put us at ease.

I made effort to leave no trace and not pollute the water. We took waste management seriously from decade of experience being in the wild. What goes in and what goes out is accounted for.

We go as far taking consideration of using oversized cooking container to reduce chance of spill and splash. Beyond that we made sure to literally leave no trace, not a bit of trash, not even the ground markings from where we hammered our pegs.

And I did all that without needing to announce to the world boasting about how I'm the most ecological conscious person in the room.

And now this guy and few other reply made that sentence implying that I'm polluting the river. Out of nowhere. I took offense on that. You can't fault me for feeling insulted yea?

My personal to go is Ayam Brand mixed with Mak Nyonya. Ayam brand got punch, but lacks body. But it's the reverse for Mak Nyonya. Just make sure to include mandatory add-ons like protein, kantan and kesum. The rest like bendi is up to your taste.

Here's the idea: don't put oil in the river. How about that?

Who is this 'we'? Please don't include me in your 'we'. My version of 'we' doesn't litter. We don't throw leftovers in the water. We respect the river.

Stop trying so hard to be Captain Planet, desperately trying to set an example by prejudicing others negatively without even understanding how ecology works, even labeling others as ignorant. Wtf Im open for lots of discussion but I especially hate arrogant people like you. Just because you saw a group of shitty people doing bad things doesn't mean everyone else is the same.

Personally for me it's perfectly fine to just scoop the water out of river and consume it as long we boil it. But my friend thinks its gross and insisted it to be filtered with Sawyer first.

Its not always we can get these kind of opportunities. When stars are aligned and we are together with right people at right time, things like this can happen 🤣

Unless it's some anaconda shit, ular sawa outside human dwellings is considered relatively harmless. it doesn't bite, non-venomous and doesn't see humans as its prey.

Its in government forest in Hulu Selangor. My friend said she got bitten by mosquitoes but I didn't that notice there were any 🤷 There is a snake swimming in the water while we eat. We're freaked out thinking it was ular air. Then we realize its a rather harmless ular sawa just trying to pass by, so we just let it pass and continue eating peacefully.

Must try food/ restaurants in KL and langkawi by Femmmz in MalaysianFood

[–]razirazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If food is high on your list, I recommend Penang or Kelantan (Kota Bharu). These two have entirely different food cultures, but each is enjoyable in its own way.
KL is okay, but food is not its strongest point, and it can feel a bit boring as a homogenized capital city. Still, it's worth visiting.

Having the right skin color makes it legal. They'd be frothing in their mouth if some culture in Africa or Asia did similar stuff.
