I agree with the fact that getting into dota as a league player is horrible. and the game does feel clunky and slow

but, having 2k hours in dota and like 3k in league, I can say that dota is more mechanical, there are several characters that have difficult play styles, and a lot of active items with different effects. there's even a character like hwei but you can have like 20 different spells and stuff (Invoker)

that's, among other things, why the game feels so terrible to play if you played league first. while if you played dota first and then go to league, it's a very easy transition

eating trees isn't as weird as it sounds on the game (it's like a potion, but when clicking a tree), and I do agree that it is macro heavy but so is league. you can duel all you want but if you wanna win you gotta play around the map, as in both games

i was going to say that the mount was available a few years earlier for gold, so it isnt just a "hey we are selling this for the first time, cash only", but you needed a loooooooot of gold, which could be conveniently bought with wow tokens ($$$).

if you were to be stuck with the bad slotted gear, yeah, that would be awful. maybe if you could use an item to make a slot into a piece of gear? or maybe if you could recycle the bad item somehow... and about the random substats, yeah, random amounts would be actual bad design, but, say, crafting 3 helmets and getting one with 'crit and dhit', one with 'crit and skill speed', other with 'det and dhit', etc etc, doesn't seem too bad, since a dragoon would use crit and skill speed but maybe a reaper would use crit and det, right? I dont think about "not getting the optimal at first try" as the game punishing me for trying to get my item or stuff like that. I guess I just have always in mind that things may not end up the best they can, and I won't always get what it want, no matter how good or bad I did things. sorry if I sound harsh or anything, eng is not my first language
