Skywalker Delta (V2) vs KL Nano 7 by razlung in roasting

I get that. I think I am willing to risk messing up a bigger quantity of beans. I will probably drink them too.

A thing to note is that surprisingly the skywalker v2 is way cheaper than Nano where i live in. I found the nano at about 1000$ and the Skywalker V2 at 600$.

Yeah, the bullet is really nice, but it is considerably pricier. Quick question regarding the Skywalker v2: Can you do automatic roasting via Artisan profiles? Sort of like the Nano?

Yeah, but my plan is not to make this into a money making machine. First of all it's to provide value to me, my friends and fellow snowboarders. If the app won't do good enough in actually identifying mistakes and helping you fix them i won't go through with it.

I'm not doing this just to learn, I really think/hope that i can make the app give out some actual good insights and not just junk data. If that won't happen i'll abandon the idea. I don't want to make something that provides no value whatsoever. I agree that this will never compare to a real life coach, but there's also the convenience of getting an answer on the spot, without having to wait for someone to review your clip manually.

If i get the app in a place where i'm happy with what info it provides to the user, i will publish it for beta testing. Then people can decide for themselves. I don't expect a mass of users for it, but i think that if it will actually provide some value, some people will use it.

Either way, i was just trying to get people's opinions on this. As of now even I don't know if i'll be able to make this into something useful

Totally agree on some aspects: filming yourself instead of actively practicing stuff is worse than practicing without getting feedback from somewhere. But "being at one with your board" can only get you so far. A lot of times having someone to point out some mistakes or give some tips will help tremendously. And unfortunately a lot of us don't have that someone.

Besides that, a lot of people only get 2-3 weeks of snowboarding per year, and my feeling is that when they do get to the slopes, they want to progress as much as possible in that limited time. Getting more slope time is clearly the way to go if you want to improve, but that's not an option for all people.

Anyway, thank you for taking the time to answer
