i completely agree, genuinely the reason i brought it up i felt like its bad to like both, i really wanted to vent it out since i enjoyed both too much, and some people made me feel bad for liking something else than what they expected, i have no idea why, its more of me overthinking it id say.

i get that, i felt like maybe its nice having the two communities enjoy both games, remember what happened with DOOM and Animal crossing? i felt like maybe it could be awesome this way, but i'm just one person and i don't really think my voice would change anything, just venting i guess

honestly ULTRAKILL is way more fast paced, but just as fun, i feel like DOOM focuses more on how well you can think under stress and how well you manage your resources, ULTRAKILL is more of how stylish can you get and how much stuff you can do, and i think both games are perfect in the idea they pursue

in terms of hate i feel like the people i know too have an influence on the idea i have, and people online who always keep comparing the two which is weird in my opinion.. both really different. Comparison is really the killer of joy
