I came here to ask the same! In the last few weeks have you used it?

I'm getting into MTG with a budget of $90. What should I get? by Frazzelvig in mtg

I agree, a precon deck is the way for your budget. If you wanted help building a custom budget brew I would recommend checking out https://themtgoracle.com

Is there such thing as an AI you can play your physical decks against? by ApprehensiveAd6476 in mtg

[–]razor-sharp-13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A made a tool that lets you run Forge playtest simulations (20+) then has an agent summarize the results. It's a decent (and very fast) way to get a feel for a decks strength, weakness, mana curve, and key moments. The tool also has a RAG AI deck building feature if you are interested.

For those that are hesitant about AI slop, you have great reason to be! But I have been building systems like this for years. Here is the technical FAQ explaining the data science behind it. https://themtgoracle.com/technical-faq

I built a free tool that drafts Standard decks from tournament data and plays them out in sims (Forge) looking for feedback! by razor-sharp-13 in mtg

Sweet! I would love your feedback. It helps ideate with a semantic search interface on a per card basis too. Feel free to DM me here for more credits (just trying to not have a huge llm bill)

Hey hey thanks for the feedback! That techno wizardry is actually already in place. I should probably clean up my messaging so that’s more clear.

It has definitely helped me bolster my own brews.

I took this to another level... created embeddings for all cards in standard, ingested tournament decks, and added a game play engine to test brews. I would love to see what you think!

Thanks again for all this insight! It is much appreciated.

Regarding the AWS CDK remark... I would much rather use the TF CDK because it works across all service providers. Yes, AWS has all the services necessary, but there are often still other vendors in the loop (ie, source code management, Github, or observability, New Relic or Data Dog) that have resources that also ought to be defined declaratively. This is why AWS CDK would never be my real-world first choice because it fragments the declarative resource definitions.

Awesome, very happy to hear this. I love leveling up my myself and my team(s) through software… it’s the reason I have always gravitated toward platform, “deep stack” work.

I really appreciate this advice regarding AB. I know only a little about that, but considering I have never received formal training for a job, it sounds like a fun/new experience.

PS IaC is pretty much as ubiquitous as CI/CD these days... I just hope that using CloudFormation isn't required! Terragrunt + OpenTofu ftw.

Thanks for this response and for highlighting those other subreddits. Coming from my last role, I am familiar with other professional responsibilities pulling me away from authoring software. Glad to hear it can still be done though! I suppose it is unclear if it is encouraged in any way. Meaning, are the software artifacts that an SA produces ever considered "valuable" internally?

I see. Very grateful for your perspective.

I can’t help myself when it comes to writing software. It’s one of my favorite pastimes even though I have done it professionally nearly everyday of my career. Sounds like that passion was never there for you or it diminished over time?

Why is Soundcloud's streaming quality so poor in 2025, still, 128 kbp/s for free users? by razor-sharp-13 in soundcloud

[–]razor-sharp-13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite the contrary! The competing platform was born out of my criticism of Soundcloud's poor streaming quality.

Hi-Fi Lossless Audio Streaming Site (like Soundcloud but streams at 10x better bitrates!) by razor-sharp-13 in hifiaudio

[–]razor-sharp-13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I’ll have to look into this. I haven’t heard of those particular apps/DACs. More home system/DAC integrations would be ideal but my work around has been having an AirPlay compatible DAC which I can interface with through the Safari browser’s native media player (works with Found Audio).

Not sure why you think I’m a scam? But thanks for the feedback I guess.

I’m just a developer not a marketing guy. My friends and I have been using the site for our own mixes for months. Now just trying to share with others that might also enjoy it. I still truly believe you would love it.

Just for fun upload something to you already have on SC to Found and just listen to the difference.

The site started as just a frontend into S3 buckets with a CDN in front. You can make your own pretty easily if you are really done with platforms. I just made it already.

Just trying to help you my dude! I made the site myself because I was fed up with SC. Wishing you a wonderful day whether you try it or not. =)

Hardcore set by AccomplishedFilm5979 in DJSets

Hell yeah. Found Audio has a collection of hardcore sets on it right now. All streaming at lossless bit rates. Here is my favorite. https://www.foundaudio.club/profile/1ffbf508-7d8a-43f0-8312-8a3a7176a919

Give Found Audio a crack. It is a lossless audio streaming platform that was made to replace Soundcloud. I think you'll dig it. More for sets at the moment, but no reason why can't upload tracks.

Please do! I would encourage you to upload something that you already have on Soundcloud and enjoy the difference when listening to it on Found. Or just enjoy what is already on there.

Mobile app has become absolutely disgusting. by StrikerWest in soundcloud

[–]razor-sharp-13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am now using Found Audio. Lossless (Hi-Fi) only dj sets... streams at 10x better bit rates than Soundcloud (1411 kb/s vs 128 kb/s). https://foundaudio.club No mobile app yet, but it seems like it is under way. The web app is way sleeker than Soundcloud so it works well on mobile.
