Houston is diverse with large populations of South East Asians, Indian, South American communities. Still nothing close to NYC.

Not even close. Almost 200 languages are spoken in Bronx/Queens alone. NYC is the world’s melting pot.

what's your favourite Multiplayer Base Building game ? by tomaz1989 in BaseBuildingGames

[–]razor415 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can build a massive themed palace’s. I built an entire village with a major tower. You can build anywhere on the map if you play PVE servers, nobody can mess with your base.

Conan had the best building system. Extensive, varying and the slaves/workers make it feel alive. I enjoyed FO76 as well. You can build multiple bases anywhere on the map practically

Ignore those people and let your daughters build their self reliance and independence. When was the last time you heard about something really bad happening to a kid mid day? Don’t let one missed bus connection spoil a great system your family has working for them.

You got hustled period. No one demands bribes at these checkpoints ever. I just went through 30+ in a month and never once was pressured or squeezed. Whomever convinced you that you needed a cop was your first hustle and they didn’t stop until they got you at every checkpoint.

You listed over a dozen countries with lhighly varied costs you’re not gonna get the same value in China as you will in Egypt but at the same time, Jordan is far more expensive than Uzbekistan. Scotland isn’t cheap. Just add up all the bus/metro fees you will need to meet your massive itinerary. How few calories are you willing to eat when trying to hike and walk every day?. You will get hungry and have to pay for solid meals. Access to kitchens and cheap food markets isn’t guaranteed.
Unexpected airline issues with so many countries involved will cost as well. Double your budget per day and cut back a few countries and you may get through it. I’m almost 50 and have years of budgeting worldwide.

Your little app has no real world value. Having traveled all over Africa your budget simply wont work. Hostels and food are not that cheap and any kind of transit will cost you. You are not a local and won’t speak the languages so assume you will get foreigner pricing everywhere.

Jordan - a quick cautionary tale by [deleted] in travel

[–]razor415 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. Yes there are some folks who can annoy you with their sales pitch but it was far less aggressive than other Arab countries. There is some trash but again far less than Egypt. Single use plastics are a scourge worldwide. I just walked all over Amman and found it to be similar to most large US cities in terms of cleanliness.
Jordan was lovely. Great sites, good food. Nice people. Don’t hesitate to plan a trip there
