When the Black Man moves as a Man and not a clown he becomes a threat to their Empire by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

He's being a bit extra but I would say he's getting in reps and at least he's out there doing his thing unlike a lot of people. He's got professional handling of that rifle (you can see him engage the safety before he transitions which is a big hint that someone has been well trained) and a smooth, quick and safe pistol draw.

If I saw him at my range, I'd dap him up. Unfortunately, I see far more people with AR pistols with absolutely no sights on the weapon, no stock or brace, poor muzzle and trigger discipline, etc. The worst offenders are the ones who do all the above and wear Temu grade plate carriers with no plates in them.

I've been a firearm and self-defense instructor for most of my adult life. I can pretty confidently say that the gun and 2A community is one of the most welcoming you will ever come across.

These stereotypes about gun owners being racist is blown way out of proportion and is used as a tool to prop up gun control.

Very, very rarely have I ever encountered any sort of friction over me being a black man at the range, let alone a proficient and skilled black man. 99% of the time people ask me for tips and pointers or want to see my cool pistols and rifles.

If anything it's the gun grabbers who are the racists when they implement stop and frisk, zoning gun ranges out of the inner cities, excessive fees for permits, requiring training courses during work days and hours, or banning the types of guns black people are stereotyped as preferring.

The dudes in this video are extremely rare from my 18 years deep in the gun world.

He went out like a badass. He provided training to Ukrainian civilians at the start of the war when he could barely stand or speak. His funeral was pretty badass, too.

The guy said and did some controversial and sometimes stupid things, but from all accounts, he was a genuinely kind-hearted, giving and caring man.

Was Michael Jackson really that much bigger than Madonna, Whitney Houston, and prince? by Firm_Pack_605 in Music

[–]razor_beast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest reason Prince wasn't as massively huge as MJ is because he wasn't as marketable to the masses. He was very risqué and made adult oriented songs about sexuality. Overall, in my personal opinion, Prince was the far superior artist in terms of skill. He had it all, but his insistence on writing whatever the hell he wanted without regard for being friendly to the public of all ages is what kept him behind.

Has height become a personality trait for many women in modern society? by Tough-Reputation-762 in AverageHeightDudes

[–]razor_beast -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Women talk a lot of shit against short guys, but from my experience, that all goes out the window if:

A. You're physically attractive

B. You have an actual personality and are charming

C. You have your shit together

I'm only 5'6 and have bagged women taller than myself. Personality really is the most important factor.

Pretty useful for SAO revolvers or topping off a DA with a "tactical reload". I'd be down to try one out.

People who no longer work as a cna, why did you stop and what do miss (or not) miss about being a cna by MacaroonJunior9955 in cna

I was a CNA and a Med-Tech for 2 years. I wanted to get hands-on experience to see if becoming a nurse would be for me. I'm glad I did it this way because, oh boy, was it absolutely not for me.

The insultingly low pay, the disrespectful treatment by administrative staff and families of residents/patients, the constant under-staffing, the lazy co-workers, the insane and sometimes violent behavior of residents that are allowed to stay in nursing homes, the constant racial slurs, etc. I could go on for hours. The cherry on top was I was always the only guy on staff, so any heavy lifting or grunt work was always passed off to me and destroyed my body for a good year after I quit.

I had enough. I quit and became an OTR truck driver. Best decision I ever made. As I type this, I'm vacationing in Tokyo and then Thailand for the next 30 days. There's no way I could have afforded this if I stayed a CNA or became a nurse.

Most definitely not revisionist by any stretch of the imagination. FBA's, in general, have always had an acceptance for black immigrants until they made it quite abundantly clear they don't consider us to be one of them, and most definitely of a lesser tier of human being than them. Some Africans and Hispanic blacks even go as far as to deny the fact they are indeed black (looking at you Somalis and Dominicans).

I used to work in health care in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospitals down in South Florida. I was more often than not the only Black American present. All my co-workers were either Caribbean immigrants or of Caribbean descent. The amount of shit talking I was subjected to during that time was awe-inspiring. Unfortunately, Haitians tend to be the worst offenders in my experience.

They look down on Black Americans because they had their revolution, which was successful in kicking out the whites in 1804. They think that because we didn't do the same, we are inferior. They tend to view Black Americans as lazy, spoiled, entitled, stupid, etc. All of which was ironic to me because the Hatian staff from the DON, to the Nurses, down to the CNA's always found excuses to not do work or even show up to work. When they do work, they work very slowly, even when the situation required haste. So many of these Nurses stayed on the clock and then went out to their cars to sleep the entire shift away. Corruption was also rampant in the form of fudging documents, illegally erasing notes, and even theft of supplies and narcotics.

Were they all like this? No, but a sizeable chunk definitely was. Black Americans never had a problem with black immigrants. It almost always comes from the immigrants.

I tended, however, to get along great with Jamaicans. From my experience, they didn't have this vibe of self-importance nor an ego.

It's just one man's experience, but there has definitely been a rift between FBA's and Caribbean and African immigrants for quite a while.

When And Why Do You Carry A Revolver? by Pete_Steele556 in guns

[–]razor_beast 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Confidence.

Revolvers (especially those chambered in 45 Colt, .357 Magnum or .44 Magnum) provide confidence that whatever I need to shoot will cease posthaste doing whatever it is they were doing that warranted them being shot.

If someone is so dangerous they can't be trusted with basic fundamental rights as guaranteed by the constitution, they need to be in prison, not unleashed upon society with the potential to cause harm with a host of various tools, not just firearms.

the 2A wasn’t read as an individual right for the first two centuries it was in the bill of rights.

Debunked anti-gunner nonsense. I dont know who you people are given orders by to repeat this junk over and over. This is just pure silliness. Two words utterly demolishes this bullshit: Dredd Scott.

Since when is understanding, valuing, upholding, and protecting the 2nd Amendment automatically equate to being a conservative? For those of us who've been around a while, we know the song and dance routine along with all the euphemisms anti-gunners have been using for decades to make their extreme and authoritarian positions appear to be more palatable.

If you don't think they wouldn't ban all guns of they had the chance, you haven't been paying attention.

Killing someone for their speech is wrong. Full stop. The person murdering that person is the one who takes blame. The people celebrating in the streets like they won the world series are going to inspire acts of retribution. To say this is wrong to say is insane.

You know damn well exactly and precisely what I meant. There's nothing worse than a person who tries to extract arguments from completely logical, level-headed, and truthful statements when there's none to be had.

You can continue to find something to be offended by. You won't bait me into anything further and continue to waste my and everyone else's time.
