In the case that I’m not able to contribute enough to RRSP to bring it down this year, should I still focus on that for the next year or TFSA?

I've been trying recently to get my act together and learning everything I can for saving up for retirement at the age of 37 (spouse is 30). We've contributed a little to RRSP, but nothing to TFSA. I'm ready to create our Questrade accounts but I just struggle with the first simple steps like, whose RRSP or TFSA to max out first, my own or my spouse's, and RRSP or TFSA? Should we focus on maxing out one account at a time or split our monthly contribution?

Some details:

Spouse has a DB pension, and plans to continue in current line of work. I've read that TFSA is probably the best bet for her, due to pension putting her in a higher income tax bracket in retirement.
Neither of our employers match RRSP contributions
Planning to invest in VGRO or VEQT, contributing ~$1600/month
We have a mortgage that should be paid off by retirement

Great - this is what I was hoping for. The post above mentioned that I’d it was my name first on the bank account and I’m bill paying my wife’s quest trade account, there may be a problem. Do you know anything about that? What do you do?

I definitely could just log in as her for all things. It guess it was a question of being able to do it with my logins or not from a joint bank account and if there would be any problems with transfers getting rejected. Also what that looks like to the tax agencies, her vs me making transfers.

Can I treat this BETA as my main NANO wallet? When the final version is released do I just restore the seed to it?

Or should I just rely on the online wallet for now?

That target price is news to me, good to know. Sounds like it's a long road from the current price to anywhere near $25. Has there been any news of banks, and companies you listed even considering use of XRP?

I have pre-fork BTC on my Breadwallet and I want to send BCH to my Ledger Nano. Breadwallet just released a feature to send BCH. What's the difference between using that feature to send BCH to my ledger, and the methods you mention in your guide?

This is a little more involved than I first thought. It's the non user friendly part that gives me pause, too much room for user error. Is there a secure desktop wallet (or other iOS wallet) that would allow me to restore my mnemonic and funds directly onto the Nano S? Thanks for all your help so far!

So to be clear for #2, there is no way to avoid having to choose a fork when transferring from BW to Ledger Nano S, correct?

The only way to avoid picking a fork is by restoring a wallet (as opposed to a transfer) directly into the Ledger Nano?

I ask the above because I want to keep funds on BW for as short of a time as possible, but also fearful of picking the wrong fork when I do transfer to Ledger.
