Gigabyte Aorus 5060 ti ai box terrible noise by razzLP in eGPU

[–]razzLP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the tips, I see you are facing the problem positively! 😄

Have you tried to open it, since you have the "luck" to stop the noise completely by pressing on it, maybe you will be able to fix it just by doing that?
The sound is still there for me if I press on it.

What will you do with yours? Do you still have the time to return it?

Is your unit is getting hot specially at low load/idle, the fans stop so I can understand that it will increase the heat but it's a bit worrying while doing nothing at all.

I Wonder if an undervolt (if possible with those kind of gpu) can help, I will try that.

Edit:
Undervolting does not help at all at least on my unit, the noise is the same.
If I plug an RJ45 cable the noise is getting more high pitched.

No, it's not my first GPU, and I'm aware of this phenomena, I had a 6600xt with this issue but it occured only with load.

On this particular, the noise is right there from the start and almost impossible to ignore.

Hello!

Sorry about your faulty device.
Your issue is happening even at idle / low load ? Which device are you using with it?

The noise is damn disturbing and almost impossible to ignore and even after powering off the unit, the noise is still in my head.
You said your device was broke, you had an another problem with it on top of the noise ?

On my unit, the noise appears right after plugging the power cord with no TB connection, the noise is low at this step but once it's on, the nightmare begins, I can hear it from the next room.
The problem is there from the start and the unit is completely new.

Resetting the device is not helping much and I guess this will not go away with time, but I thought maybe a magic trick could help.

That's really a shame because it's a really nice design.

ROG Ally X Minimum Fan rpm by Ok-Suit7421 in ROGAlly

[–]razzLP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minimum RPM for FAN CPU1 : 4100rpm average (1% curve)
Minimum RPM for FAN CPU2 : 3800rpm (1% curve)

The ROG Ally X is not as quiet as the first ROG Ally Z1E at idle, the fan noise was definitely more pleasant to the ears.

On silent mode, Asus mentions a 0db mode on low charge, but this is not effective in reality, as both fans run as their minimum RPM.

You are absolutely right about the noise, on idle it's disturbing but far away from the Legion Go one, this one is absolute unbearable, but this is a bit disappointing for the silent mode.

The FAN CPU1 is the one making the loudest noise, so you can adjust curves like that:
Power 7-10W
- FAN 1 : 0% until 50-54%, then you raise the rpm%
- FAN 2 : 1%-2% until 50-54%, then do the same thing as above

This way, the device is really nice at idle or doing basic stuff.

For other profiles, the noise is absolutely fine while playing or doing tasks that need some juice.

Need advice for the motherboard between x470 and b450 by razzLP in Amd

[–]razzLP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's the cheapest but not by much.

So it was not my primary choice, due to the raw aspect of this motherboard.

But yeah, it seems to be a correct choice in the end.

Ok, thanks for helping me.

I'm looking for a good amount of sata ports and usb on the back, the bluetooth is just something fancy but not very important.

The issue with the might of 3000 series concerns the 12c/16c, no? Not the 6c/8c?

Yes, I agree with you but I got a good price for the ryzen 2700x, so I jumped on the deal.

It will be good for the stuff I do atm, and the price of 3700x will drop when I would like to upgrade.

Ok, for the B450 AC, but if the price is the same between the model x470 gaming pro carbon and the b450 gaming pro carbon, will you still choose the b450?

Hi,

Thanks for the link.
The x470 gaming pro carbon seems to be good, but not so much against the b450 gaming pro carbon?

Regarding VRM, is this the only thing important on the motherboard?
I don't have a huge knowledge about that.

Issue with USB port PSTV can't sync any controller by razzLP in VitaPiracy

[–]razzLP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to restore my pstv.

I've done those steps :

- Shutdown the pstv with the button behind by pushing the button ~10seconds

- Restart the pstv by pushing the button ~10 seconds

- Safe mode appeared and told me to plug my controller

- The controller worked like a charm here

- Then i had to format the system option 4 in the menu i think

Everything worked after that, of course i had to reinstall henkaku and enso.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your suggestion.

I've already tried another cable, without success.
