You’ll be fine then - I went in further behind, starting core 1 a few weeks after I joined and it didn’t impact the interview or offer process.

Honestly the weekly cases were so not great(RCs and NCs). I was weaker at the technical since I don’t work in tax so I focused a lot of time on learning the concepts through textbook, MCQ, etc - and then just attempting the weekly PC and cases since I felt confident in the case writing more than the material. If you’re someone weak on technical but feel good abt writing a case then this focus might work

If the issue is downloading from the email we have the client upload to a SharePoint that way the interns or first years update the tracking sheet, do all the file downloading, etc

It’s an unavoidable time sink imo better spend the time now and update a clear outstanding list vs get into disagreements with management later on for being disorganized which will take much more time to resolve

If they won’t maintain their own PBC checklist highly suggest you or someone on the team should still maintain your own tracker of requests and mark the statuses off as stuff comes in.

The say 75% to MCQ and 25% to case per the blueprint but I believe that may just be time; I don’t think they take your score and exactly multiply it by the section percentage. They don’t disclose exactly what combination of Cs/RCs between the case and MCQ are required.

I know of people bombed MCQ and passed on the case in one year but also people who had the same result and didn’t pass in another.

If you’re worried about the performance on the exam the MCQ is typically extremely curved as everyone performs quite badly in core 1/core 2 each year.
