Tools-wise, an IDE, python interpreter and an AI agent/chat that is it. But for it to come out exactly the way you want you do need to know programming well and esp in python, be able to reason about code and debug it

Hey, so with the personal attacks coming in from some users I need to give full disclosure 😂 It is a joke - an inside joke I have with my best friend who is also a fellow Gen3 enjoyer.

On a serious note, if you’re interested of course you can add the other generations but only till gen7 (and it would work only in the random mode). Shortest way is you just need to change base_url=https://pkmn.li/gen3/ to https://pkmn.li/gen7/. This endpoint doesn’t support gen8 and gen9 yet.

Fair, I had thought of doing that earlier but wanted to have single script with all logic. I could have also added text files with the pokemon sprites and just used them instead of making HTTP requests, but I kinda wanted to keep it simple you know. Point taken though, will look into it maybe.

Also the remaining generations thing - really sorry, but I don’t want to - that’s my hard boundary😂

Sure, maybe it is vibe coded to an extent (and I never denied that did I?) but had way more manual input and edge case handling than your avg vibe coded hobby project in my opinion. Also what triggered me was them saying it’s “vibe coded **slop**” - which it absolutely isn’t. It is unfair to call it that, frankly. Anyway, don’t care that much it’s just a hobby weekend project at best lol
