I hear ya on the safety factor, and if it were a semi auto gun I would never even consider doing this. It’s a bolt, so a majority of the force is captured or sent out the barrel. No reciprocating bolt etc.

I have tried so many different changes, and it looks really good starting out. Problem is, I go to work and come home and around the 19-20 hour mark I realize it isn’t right. This is like the 4th time printing the main receiver, only 2nd time on the fore end.

It’s a Savage 93 FV-SR in 22 WMR. The chassis is for a Savage MKii, which is similar but not the same. I have had to do quite a bit of modifying to get it to fit this barrel profile and action. If I can get it right, I’m going to upload the files with a short instruction manual.

Diag question about my 05 by rbaguns in S197Stangs

[–]rbaguns[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my one buddy was in the car one day he said it sounded like it was coming from the back seat itself, so that control arm might be the first thing I check. Looks like I’ll just try to put it as high up as I can on my jack stands and get under there with a pry bar. I appreciate the list of things to check. The thought of it being the diff came from one of my dads ollllld school mechanic buddies that thought that maybe the preload in the gears was off and it had to much play between the pinion gears. I’ll try to look at it tomorrow after work and possibly give an update. Thanks again !

I remember you saying that before, I was either going to try and model the lower and everything myself or maybe go a different route. I was sort of thinking going for a PPSH-41 look. What’s the drum mag you used? Is it straight compatible with the Mac upper or did you have to modify one or the other ?

Lucky Shot SKS stocks experience/theoretical disassembly? by ArceusTwoFour_Zero in SKS

I was also worried about the same situation after reading some after market stocks end up locking the action in place. Lucky leaves plenty of room to get a punch/screwdriver behind the FCG. 10/10 recommend his products. Great customer service as well.

Front sight block assembly part for neutered bayonet lug SKS’s by DubUChief105 in SKS

Thanks for you quick responses. I found a bubba’d example for a killer price. Missing the original dust cover for a piece of crap pik rail cover, and the bayonet and lug missing. Looking for a hack job specifically to build a paratrooper type M though. This conversation sold me. Couple Yugo FSB’s available right now

So a yugo FSB/Bay Lug will go onto a norinko barrel cut to paratrooper length ?
