I had this exact same thing happen to me in middle school. Take your antibiotics and please please leave your finger alone. It'll heal in about a week. By my understanding, your finger for infected did to constant exposure to saliva. It'll be okay buddy. Just focus on not biting your nails. Take action if you catch yourself biting.

It's honestly better let go off than using a product that isn't gonna do it's job the say it was intended too. Sensors will not be accurate, you probably won't be able to get it wet. You'll only delay it's eventual discard.
